Hi ikip84,

I am in the same situation as you atm.. Went for my checkup yest, returned today for the 2nd bp test. Now I am referred to a specialist in Mount E as well.

Can I check with you how much did it cost for the device? What did you do during the 200+ bucks consultation?

@Spiky

hey Spiky! You could have actually emailed her last week haha! but since your ORD is tomorrow, then you could drop her a mail tomorrow to inform her that you've ORDed and your COS is ready for submission. Leave her your contact so she can call you back to arrange an appointment to head down to STC to submit the documents. It is very likely that you'll get your training date there and then too :)

Congratulations! Your life is finally taking off! (all puns intended) haha :D

I'm ORDing on 14 Sept :)

TKWS wrote:@kindaichi1234 :) You're very much welcome. Fyi, the Paragon clinic will hold your friends record till she's done with her check-up. I got to know this through a phone call the clinic made, cause someone was in the exact situation as your friend and needs to wait for quite a while before completing the check-up. But I would recommend your friend to a private specialist as it'll only take 2-3 days rather than waiting :) Oh ya, remember to ask your friend to personally pass the letter to the Paragon clinic instead, cause you'll never know if NHC will pass it to them..

Thank u so much for sharing :D... She just consulted a GP doc and her reading was 130/70 it's consider as NORMAL lolx....Hope her BP keep dropping till healthy level and see what the specialist doc says :D

just FYI, if one is very nervous, BP can rise. so maybe when she sees the specialist at paragon, she worry and get nervous cuz of her BP, so her BP will rise.

good luck to her!

@kindaichi1234 :) meanwhile, you can ask your friend to go look for some ways to reduce her blood pressure online. I heard meditating(10-20mins daily) is quite useful and must have sufficient sleep(7hrs of uninterrupted sleep). Plus, having a healthy diet helps a lot and try to limit her caffeine intake. I've been doing all these things since i got rejeceted. Haha. Hopefully it helps her :) Best of luck to your friend!

@kindaichi1234 :) no blood test at all. I forgot all the terms for the check-up, but the first one was checking my heartbeat/pulserate/bloodpreesure. The second one was to do a scan for my heart to see if some arteries(not sure what its called) will grow thicker under pressure(i was asked me to lie down on my side). If the artery grows thicker, means i'm definitely not fit to be a crew. The last one was the 24-hrs monitoring of my blood pressure, and the device is actually a watch. I felt so stress wearing the watch and failed at the last stage. Haha. Thank goodness i'm over it now! :) Hopefully this will ease your friend a bit, cause at least she roughly knows what she'll be going thru.. It's hard for your friend not to get nervous though as i totally understand what your friend is going thru now. I hope the best for your friend :)
