I am 25 and i got in. As long as you are under 30 years old, i seriously do not think it's a problem at all. I believe someone mentioned that AGE MATTERS IN SQ. Yes but that's if you are like above 30. But come on, 27 is not that old. People who are slightly matured (ie. 25-29 years old) can also have alot to offer to the company. Such as maturity, experience etc etc.

Thanks for your comment. It cheers me up a lot.
As SIA is recruiting Thai via their online system not walk in, I hope they will also consider people who are above 26 as well. I already did my best applying via the system. I wish the door will open for me...

any tips for concealing scars on arms? or just make it even toned since they are the 'different skin tone' kind of scar, not those budging ones? :/

Hi everyone,

seems like the medical round is very very subjective and hard to clear?
do y'all know what they are looking for and what sort of medical problems are a no-no for cabin crews?
If i have a family history of Hepatitis-B (i'm a carrier), will i be rejected? Hep-B in no way will affect a job actually right.

If I've a visible scar on my neck ( undergoing treatments for it), my chances are very slim too ?

Honestly i have been wanting to try for years.. very badly.
But at the last min i always back out cos i worry about everything. conscious about the scars n all.

Shld i wait till i complete my part-time degree n 'ready' then i try or shld i just try now? Im 21 this year btw. :)

Any kind souls could advice??

Thanks loads.

hey babe, medical check-up most people will clear unless you've serious health problems or fail your x-ray. as for your hep B, there will be a declaration form and you'll have to declare it. i'm not sure if this will affect your chances.

well, my friend has a scar on her hand and she got through. no harm trying right? you should try out for the upcoming interview in august! you can still continue doing your degree part-time. :>

Dear Rebecca,

Thanks for your encouragement.
You have already commenced your training??
my scar is not a ordinary scar though. it's a raised scar.. undergoing steroid injections for it. :( painful & slow process. it's getting better now, i use makeup to conceal it. but it still can be seen from afar though. so im afraid i wont even get thru cos it's visible aft the kebaya is worn.

are moles on face a no-no too? it's considered pigments right..

Even if i try now, i won't be able to commence until early next year. maximum SIA can wait 4 how long? :)

Thanks gal. ^^
