Anyone still waiting for PR/LPR outcome after 1 year?

Post by CIA_crypto » Thu, 15 Jul 2010 6:54 pm

Hi All,
I am one of LPR applicants still waiting for outcome from ICA after 1 year and 2 weeks. So far still no news. Since I submitted my application on July 2009, I received two letters. First letter was saying that we received your's attention and second letter was to inform your application is still in underconsideration. Anyone got idea, still how long to reach final outcome from ICA? Are there anyone still waiting for outcome?

Thanks

yes, I heard from my gf bro that 10 students who received a PR invitation letter after graduating, waited for 13 months and were rejected last week, all of them.

Hi bhauranya,

Congratulation to your colleague for PR approval. Could you kindly ask your colleague, When did he apply for his PR or LPR? Did he receive any letter during his application waiting period?

Thank you in advanced.

I submitted my PR on 22nd December 2009, today I received confirmation in writing that it was successful. The date on the letter was 22nd July 2010 so it took 7 months exactly to process. The multiple times I called ICA over the last couple of months, the answer was the same, this is just how long it now takes even though my original acknowledgement letter stated average processing time of 3 mths.

Note I have already been living in SG for 4 years, healthy income, steady job, NZ citizen. Not sure why it took this long to process. I guess their new requirements for PR meant every application went through extra pair of eyes to validate.
