I just wanted to know if there is a clinic that accepts the insurance we have for her, as the bill for my visit was almost $150 (that did include the antibiotics.) And yes, I'll take her today. She's napping now, so I'm letting her sleep.
150$ appears to be extreme to me for a bout of flue and I live locally and use the clinics.
I feel that becuase you are an expat, you are using recommended expat doctors....which tend to be more pricey than the normal clinic doctor for locals becuase they target expats and tourists...it also depends on the area of the practise, due to rental rates. Around Orchard Rd would be sky high prices for example.
In 5 years here, the only charges over a 100$ has been from the general hospital, without medication. With consultation fees around 80 to 100$ for a specialist . Local consultation shouldn't be more than 25$ medicine can vary, normally you would pay the doctor first and claim the fee back from the insurance, best to ask at reception what the procedure is.
