I guess you're not too familiar with how beef gets to your table, but there is no or very little standing around in pastures for grain fed beef cattle, if any. 95% of all beef is fed corn which is fertilized with fossil fuels. No thanks.

I guess it's news to you, but the vast majority of beef or farming in general does not work on the integrated model you describe. Earl Butz pretty much saw an end to that.

It expanded into a huge expat supermarket called Nissin. Still displays a plaque proudly proclaiming that the Imperial family use it. It does have a very impressive selection of meat - much better than when it was Meat Rush.
In Singapore I'm a big fan of the Butcher in HV. Not cheap but has the best sausages!

Re Nissin: Yeah, they knocked down the funny little place, rebuilt it and made an extension, huge area on 2 storeys. Forgot to add - has a fantastic wine section on top floor too.

They were what I would term 'no shit' butchers. I.e. get in, place the order, fill the order, get out
