When is the first year you need to file Form C?

If your first FY was say from March 1 '08 to Feb 28 '09 , when is the first Form C due? November 2009 or 2010?

You should call up IRAS, they are quite good at answering stuff like this.

I asked a similar question and in my case they said the the 1st year it isnt necessary, but in the 2nd year you file for the 1st and 2nd years. They said I would receive a notice letting me know i needed to file.

Hi

If your first FY was from March 1 '08 to Feb 28 '09, technically speaking you'll need to break the period up to 1.3.2008 to 31.12.2008 and 1.1.2009 to 28.2.2009. The Form C would be due in Nov 2009 and Nov 2010 respectively.

However, as it is your first FY, IRAS by concession may allow the whole period of 1.3.2008 to 28.2.2009 to be filed in Nov 2010.
