How do you spell italian "Ciao" in Portugese and in Spanish? "Chao" or "Chau".
There's famous tango of Piazzolla: "Chau Paris". Is it "Hello" or "Bye" or both?
Sorry for this offtopic message.
Hello Pablito, i guess you're spanish right?Oswald216 wrote:@Vanessa:

@pablito:
in spanish it will be chau, though chao is used too - i think no one makes a lot of fuss how to spell chau...
in portuguese from brazil it will rather be chao, as ending o-s are pronounced as u-s

Alas, there's no lyric in this tango, what about music score - will it tell you something?
It is so nice tango, like most of Piazzolla's tangos.
I play now it with violinist.
Question was how to put it in the Program. Now I know: "Chau Paris"
Bye
