How nice it would have been if Singapore allows those kind of shops that you find in Australia.

chixchix,

you've got a good point there. They probably wouldn't need to beef up immigration if the guys found out they could so easily be replaced on the rare occasion that they want some here. Toys make any occasion special if you think about it. Course I've heard that the local girls are a bit shy to go into those stores for fear that them might be seen. :(

There's one at Lucky Plaza along Orchard Road that you can't help noticing when walking past. I went in once out of curiosity. Not sure what I was expecting but it was a bit of an anti-climax (pun not intended). Not to mention grossly overpriced, charging close to $100 for some cheap-looking, supposedly sexy rags. Oh well, whatever turns people on!

Went in this place, can't remember it's name but it's pavement level on Lucky Plaza. Actually brought a couple of toys  and Ms BY is very pleased with that decision :D. Selection seemed quite extensive and quality good to my relatively untutored eye, but they are hideously expensive though. Didn't notice any "literature" but that stuff doesn't float my boat anyway so wasn't particularly looking.

I read somewhere that sextoys are not allowed in Singapore? is it right?

Are they only not allowed to buy/sell or is it also not allowed to have them in my luggage???

Thanks, George
Looking at the baby statistics, I would say, only sex toys are allowed  Where do you keep your phone? :P

i saw some grimy plastic ones sold alongside 'viagras' on a makeshift stand at the back of rowell road in little india. It was a surreal experience walking through that backlane..

Not sure what's in Australia but there is at least one exception to the stark, large neon sign screaming "SEX Shop" places that look like they belong more on 42nd street than on Orchard or North Bridge road. I think they set those places up to ostracize the patrons.

Anyway this place is Oohtique in Boat Quay, at least it was there a couple of years ago. Probably more of what you are looking for.

Fluffy handcuffs are not welcome in Singapore however! A friend was hauled off to a room for questioning when customs discovered hers on a return flight from a semester in Australia.

She laughs about it now, but the threat of going to jail at the time was very sobering for her! :o
