if you're keloid prone then please abstain from surgeries!! keloid prone people's skin tends to heal badly hence the formation of keloids. ears and chest area are especially prone to keloid formation. so if you have it, then please abstain from them >.<

Hi,

Thank for your advise=) Dr Jong did told me such as chest shoulder and back is very easy to get keloid... For my case keloid at my ear area still got chance to cure...he was saying that hardly the area behind the ear hardly grow keloid if that so might be the surgeon stitching problem. He told me after remove stitch, maybe every 2week or 1 month go to have steriod injection. This is to prevent the keloids to recurr..

Seconded. Jaw/chin work should ALWAYS be done intra oral (cut inside mouth). Chance of infection significantly reduced and no scar, doh.

Im so happy, i send my post op to Dr hsu and he replied immediately! :)
so my nose right now looks pretty much like angelababy's (if u seen her pic u can see above the tip is a tad wide) i ask dr hsu about if my nose will be slimmer.. but he said no not really. As i knew, "your nose will get smaller" meant flatter shorter and tip will deswell. My nose looks natural right now, its not as high as before and no longer scary long. I hope it continues to get better each month. :D

Ok this is what i think, i really want to suggest ppl to do natural material, as i compared with my friend who did her nose using fake material, it only looked good at the beginning and it was like the fake material expanded after 3 months, she wants to do revision. For natural, maybe its the opposite, looks very scary and spookey and tall and long!! but then after your body absorbs it and it gradually gets small and natural.
Oh yeah my scar is exactly 3cm and i know ppl were worried about it, but its really nothing
Hi,

It is painful but overall it's still acceptable.. partly is becosz my eye is quite sensitive...

We know if he issues, thats why he was starting fights(someone mentioned not just with bliss) and getting all emotionally boiled and defensive. We dont care about his rudeness, again... its about SPAM control. He's making this thread into a negative atmosphere.

ANYWAYS
lol enough about that guy. umm guys that wasnt a picture of MY CHIN LOL!!!! I was asking is it suppose to be like that? cut from the bottom??? or is the material placed inside the mouth

Yea its not so scary after all. Its totally covered by most bikinis and bras now just a thin faintish line is remaining.

Anyways bliss, I wanna ask if your rib area hurts when you wear bras with stiffer underwires?
I still don't really dare to aggravate it too much esp. when I felt a tinge of a little ache when I wore one of my more structured bras.
The doctor said any pain there is the rib in side healing but not the wound outside, but I keep having psychological fear now I might split the incision open lol.

crappp i wrote so much and it disappeared.. my top screen is like gone.. weird. jamie82 im so sorry i keep asking u this, u went to dr kao not hsu right? hows it looking? (haha ppl keep aksing me this too, i wish there was a button mode where i can attach "w/ dr hsu" next ot my nickname"
YEha your absolutely right!! Actually .... i didnt even wear a bra AT ALL. i broguht bras to my trip but didnt wear them.. i even bought some in Taiwan and didnt wear them. I suggest you dont wear it. I went out to Ximending one time and wore a bra with a underwire... BIG REGRET.. it was weird all of the sudden i didnt feel well.. (cant explain.. hmm not really faintedness like u but it was ACTUAL pain..) so i "undid" my bra. just make sure u were wearing good shirt and jacket.
The only time i felt faint was... when i took a shower... i have two strips of tape covering my wound (btw this is like last day before i left so that means basically everything was taken off my face but i still have bandaid on my rib) and there was a part of my rib wound that was not covered by the tape... and i took a shower (trying not to get it wet) and i looked down... and the opening wound (part that wasnt covered) looked like PUS (the white gew coming out) and i seriously had to stand naked holding myself up.. and i was like "shit.. im gonna pass out.." so i quickly got dress and went to my bed. I suggest if u take a bath keep the air flowing and open the door to let the steam out. dont take a shower longer then 10 mins first 2-3 weeks

Hello to all again, hope all the forumers who recently underwent surgery are doing well and healing speedily with successful outcomes.

I have a question and would really appreciate if someone can share some insight. After ear cartilige is removed, does it look like a deformed or warped ear or does the ear look normal once it is healed? Thank you for the help.

My suggestion is... make sure you know what your talking about and know what u want....
my mistake was when i told him i wanted a straight side profile view... instead of curving up (cuz i thought i might look like a pig) i kept my answer firm.. and end up regretting it.. cuz looking at a lot of celebs photo the curving up is cute. (but ppl say curving up was the sign of a fake nose..)

Seems like a common sense thing to do, but a lot of people don't have a clear idea of what they want, and expect the surgeon to have psychic powers to envision what the patient's ideal nose is.

If possible, PRINT out quality pics. Don't just rely on the puny handphone screen and expect the surgeon to make out what the nose looks like. Best if you can print out your own profile, 3/4 pics too, so the surgeon can draw on your photo to illustrate what he's gonna do even better.
Thank you ! For now I know exactely what I want ^^

And thanks you too Blissfull ^^ Well well welll ... just can't wait . Hope for you that the result will fit you and makes you even more beautiful than before =D ( My perfect nose I wish for is exactly Angela Baby's =D ) Can you tell me, how many times did your nose stop to look like a bird as you said ( or too long ) ?

And well, since I send an email to Dr Kao, no reply for the moment ^^'..

About my nose, I'm just scared a little bit about one thing .. ( there is of course the part that if it doesen't fit you..) but I'm scared to look like too much eurasian. Because My eyes ( I really love them) are pretty big and round =3 But perhaps with a higher nose, I will look like eurasian ( hope that it will be not too much) But I think that if the result is good, I will not regret it =)

Here's my eyes ;), if you have any opinion about it =) ( no CL and surgery on it =) )

hi, i cannot be 101% sure about this as i haven't done it myself. but i rmber reading somewhere that intr-oral incisions are more prone to infections due to the food we eat that might not be cleaned throroughly etc?

in pictures it still looks weird but in real life its much smaller. Angelababy does have a nice nose, but that initally wasnt what i wanted, thats another thing ppl probably already know that the picture u bring.. the doctor cant make it look like it... @_@... unless u get nose job over.. and over.. and over again like dawn yang.

Regards,
hihi! i dont think its doctor's stitching problem coz as far as i know, keloids are genetic. so if you have a keloid it means that u have keloid prone skin which is commonly seen on african american and sometimes asians.
for keloids at ear, its relatively easier to cure. i have a friend that has it at her ear lobe, then she went for surgery to remove it and till now it hasnt recur =). so if you choose to remove it via surgery, you can try applying dermatix onto the wound once its healed to prevent another keloid forming.. however, theres a risk involve with removing of keloid as the recurred keloid will be even BIGGER and nastier than before. so its a risk either way.

but if you're only doing your nose then it shld be fine as the skin around ur nose is soft and therefore keloids wouldnt form there. in fact, very rarely will bad scarring occur on the face. the most commonly found area are shoulder, back, chest, ear, chin. areas that are dense has the highest possibility of bad scarring.

you have to find out whether anyone in ur family has history of keloids.. that cld be ur parents/grand parents/great grand parents. and if there are then please abstain from surgeries otherwise the results cld be devastating as theres no cure for keloids and it'll just keep growing and growing and growing as the years goes.

but on the other hand, if its a hypertrophic scar then it'll just regress with time =)

hope this piece of information was helpful =)

i think its possible to get angelababy's nose with just 1 surgery but your pre op nose must already be somewhat similar to hers.. otherwise its really difficult to attain her nose.

btw, do you know how long does it take for the tip to deswell?

It looks normal. The doctor removes cartilage from the 'sunken' area of your ear, close to the ear hole. It's then held in place with packing (some kind of stuffing) for 3 days in the front, and stitches behind the ear are removed after a week, same day as the nose.

That stuff happens... I hate it I type alot then all gone haha.

Anyways, I'm really glad I'm not the only one feeling this way! Its one of the things ppl should know about if they use rib...

I don't think the wound will burst open or anything, Dr. Kao said it won't, the pain is the from the pressure on the healing rib under the skin. One thing also, I realised alot of public toilets in Taiwan are "squat" type of toilets which I really hate, I had to "undo" my bra too cos getting up and down I really felt it then.
