It says on the MOM website for manual applications, " The processing time is about five weeks. You can check the assigned FIN and application status online about 14 days after submitting the application."

So, maybe before you go off in a huff you ought to realized that you are not yet 5 weeks out from your date of submission.

SE, I already pointed that out to him in the 4th response at the top of the page. I pasted it verbatim from the MOM site for him. Good thing I don't work at MOM.

I have had 2 EP approvals over the past 2 years. Both P1 and both took about 3 weeks. As stated above they may take up to 5 weeks, so I don't understand the impatience. I am actually surprised both had been processed so quickly for me, but then again, I am used to red tape.

Why finally? :???: 5 weeks : 5 wks x 7 days = 35 days, just what MOM said.

Frankly, I think somebody made a mistake though.

What to do next? Ask your HR executive at your new employer.

Good for you, venky123. The next thing is a question "Do you want to come to work in Singapore?". Haa, this is a simple yet loaded question. Oh well!

On a lighter note, I'm surprised to see the increasing localised jargons used here, especially those acronyms. LOL!

Did you actually try to look them up to see what they stood for? :P

This should help in the future though:

For those who fight for it, life has a flavor the sheltered will never know.
