Broadband Deals only with a 2(!) year contract? 8-[

Post by Crodol » Thu, 26 Nov 2009 3:07 pm

Am I missing something or are the SingTel and Starhub home broadband deals all for 24-months? Don't want to pay for full 2 years if I am only going to stay here for half a year. Any ideas on what to do?
Cheers

havent been keeping track on their T&C lately, but i think the minimum contract is 12-months. you will pay a higher subscription on a 12-months contract than on a 24-months contract.

the only way to get broadband for 6-months is a prepaid mobile broadband or hang around McD/starbucks/etc for free wifi.

Someone gave me a tip that M1 is offering 6 month contracts:

I have never heard of M1... always thought that SingTel & Starhub are cornerning the market.

Anyone got experience with M1?[/url]

What? you never heard of M1 either? Doesn't surprise me. It's one of the smaller of the Telcos here. Been on my links page since it's inception (my links page that is). Down the first column round half way or further.
