DPS International School

Post by desimom » Mon, 16 Nov 2009 9:28 am

Thanks for replying....Do you know when the admission process starts for Indian International Schools? I know their term starts in April. Are their any written tests for 2nd and 4th standard admissions?

How are the teachers? Facilities? Activities?

Thanks a lot for any input.

indian school choices

Post by broti » Tue, 29 Dec 2009 5:50 pm

Before saying anything related to Indian schools let me say that your nearest govt (MOE) school is a very worthy choice to consider. They may take time to respond so write a letter, make a visit to check out the place and wait.

For Indian schools since you are in Jurong area there is a new contender in the space which is Yuvabharati singapore. I have only heard about this from Tabla magazine. http://www.yuvabharathi.sg/contact.php (If you know more please post. Seems more affordable)

There are only 4 CBSE affiliated schools as shown on CBSE web site:

1. GIIS campus at 1 Mei Chen Road (Queenstown)
2. GIIS EC campus at 82 Cheviot Hill (East Campus)
3. NPS - at Chai Chee Lane
4. Yuvabharati at Hu Ching Road, Jurong West (new)

If you choose ICSE you also have:
5. DPS International (Aroozoo Avenue)

(GIIS has one more campus in Baliestier Road for more than a year but seems to be not CBSE approved).

It will be great if somebody can do a campus by campus survey or comparison about fees, bus charge, extra costs/books, class size, teaching quality (or own impressions).
