No, my British passport is too valuable asset. If Singapore allowed dual nationalality, yes I would. In the meantime there's no benefit for me to become a citizen
what I know seem like most prefer to be PR?
Because of the above
even those singaporeans PR in another countries
A 'PR' in the UK has virtually the same benefits as a British Citizen
some of them didn;t give up their singapore citizenship.
No need to, Singapore Passport is too valuable asset
My cousin husband who is a chinese thai
still a PR in sg .
He still haven;t convert to singapore citizenship
for what I know , if he give up his assets back in thailand , the gov there will confiscate his assets in thailand???
and I heard most thais don;t give up their motherland citizenship?
I am not sure about this since I don;t dare to ask him lol.
But I am good terms with him.
There's no need for him to become a Singapore Citizen. Until Singapore allows dual nationality, this is the way it's going to be.

lol peanutsirvine wrote:Just to add to your survey. I'm a PR, and will not take up citizenship. Those $200 handouts every year is just peanuts. Just kidding. Of course, there are more benefits of being a citizen than that I know.
Ranting under the influence is not allowed!SGBoyxxx wrote:will you give up your motherland citizenship for singapore citizenship?

All you have to say, is that you are attracted to other men, and i can guarantee you, you will be out, unless they have accepted it now. Now if you had been around in 1970, you would know what i mean...this place was a transvestite paradise, not that i care, but i did get a handful of peanuts, before i realised it! Not for me thanks, I like the real woman, but true enough i was conned into believing different.SGBoyxxx wrote:mrswkn wrote:I will convert if my kids dont have to do National Service. I've got friends I made in the Army that go back 41 years and we still keep in touch. Does that make me limp wristed as well?
Yes agreed, dazed by Mr Baron though i started in the gym again Monday! I actually phoned my mate paddy last night in Belfast and talked for an hour, not seen him since 1974, all of a sudden they are popping up from all over, that's the internet for you!sundaymorningstaple wrote:ksl, you really shouldn't post when under the Baron's spell.
