Anyone did Rhinoplasty and wore specs after? I researched online and found out that not supposed to wear specs as it causes dents on the nose. Not even supposed to touch your nose or smile too much or eat hard solid meals because it may cause the implant to shift.

Is it really so delicate and easily shifted out of place? I have been touching my bridge quite abit, i hope i dont end up with a crooked nose.

Was just wondering... maybe aadvark or anyone who been thru nose revision can help...

if i am doing a nose revision with nara and he will be changing from an I implant which is already in my nose to an L implant... Do you think that i will still bruise just as much since my skin is already stretched the last time i did my nose?

Hmm... how come no one's doing Breast implant huh? Need more info from nice ppl who did their twin peak with Nara.

Chin implant too...

I'm doing these 3 at a time under GA in the hospital...

Thanks in advance

those areas that have been pre-stretched wun swell as much, so in ur case the tip will swell more, since the I implant doesn't really stretch out the nose tip. unless nara uses a much larger implant? which i dun think so ba

missuglynose wrote:Hi all, I've been lurking around in the plastic surgery threads for some time now and finally decided to come out of hiding :)

Some background about myself: I have hidden double eyelids with puffy upper lids, a big round fleshy nose, a weak chin, and one side of my face is larger than the other (not sure yet whether it's due to buccal fat or jaw muscle). I'm considering getting
1. double eyelid (incision method) + considering epi
2. autologous rhinoplasty (I've got a pretty high bridge to begin with)
3. tiplasty + alarplasty
4. chin implant
5. jaw botox (crossing my fingers that my assymetrical face is caused by muscle and not fat. No buccal fat removal for me cos my family has a history of sunken cheeks with age :P)

Not really comfortable showing my entire face here, so let me upload some cropped/mosaic-ed pictures of mine...

For me, the most pressing issue would be my nose. I really HATE it! Judging from the numerous before/after pics that others have posted, I think there is potential to make my nose look much better - especially since I have an above average bridge to begin with. I'm *guessing* that my case wouldn't be too complicated?

Which brings me to my dilemma - Taiwan or Bangkok? I initially wanted to visit Dr. Hsu for my rhinoplasty and another surgeon (undecided) for double eyelid + epi + chin), BUT my company is moving me to Bangkok, so obviously it would be super convenient for me to do it there right? Plus I'd have all the time in the world for recovery, and be close to my surgeon should any complications arise. I had my sights set on Dr Pat, until I recently read the less than glowing reviews about him :(

I'm just wondering if the many experienced forumers here would be able to suggest whether a Taiwanese or Thai surgeon would be better equipped to handle my surgery? I'm willing to pay up to 65000 baht for a complete nose job (autologous implant only, otherwise will just settle for tip+alar). As for the rest - eyes and chin, willing to pay industry average in whichever country. TIA!
65.000 baht for a complete nosejob with autologous implant, hmmm... I guess Thai surgeons are cheaper, but then again, have you asked Dr. Hsu to quote a price for your particular case? If it is not a revision, it might might might be not more expensive than 65.000 baht.

Hi all,

I was all set on going to Dr Nara for liposuction but was rather put off by another forummer's post in another forum who claimed her friend went to Dr Nara & was left with an ugly scar, the clinic was rather unhygiene & they re-used their needles!!

Is that true??

1. even higher? not unless your implant starts bloating... i'm kidding, it will only sink lower and lower... till somewhere down the road you wished it was higher

2. u r supposed to clean the wound with cotton buds wat, why is it still dry??

3. despite all the claims that ur implant will shift, i think it's mainly paranoia, as long as u r careful, u can go abt ur daily biz as per normal. (i can't believe u din wash ur face, ewwww... you can just wash area by area with facial wash with a little bit of water, then clean off with damp cloth or sponge...)

Went through a consultation with Dr J. Wong about Hi Def Vaser, the post result photos are very impressive.

Wonder if anyone has done or heard anything about HD Vaser and care to share.

there's no need to get sarcastic. We are all trying to gauge information from all sources.
