Hey,
Anyone have any suggestions for a decent scanner for home use. My plan is to scan all invoices and important letters to keep on my MacBook instead of having these piles of paper lying around.
Preferable something small, cheap and Mac friendly.
Thanks!

these days, a lot of the inkjet printer comes with scanner and photocopier. probably better option than a standalone scanner unless you know for sure you wont be doing any printing or photocopying.

Thanks for the quick responses.
I'm fairly certain that I don't want to do any printing or photocopying. All of that stuff I do at work. I just want to scan..

As said, all-in-ones are ridiculously cheap these days, I paid around $120 for a Brother printer-scanner-copier a few years back and it worked fine.
It's worth paying a little extra for a model with an automatic document feeder if you plan on scanning multi-page docs though, since flipping the lid up and down gets real old real fast...

Update:
Took a chance on an unknown fellah. Plustek OpticSlim M12 Plus.
It's about as small as it gets and runs off the USB port. The mac drivers are in beta stage but work well so far. Hard part is finding a good scanning software (?). Shareware or cheap preferrably. Any ideas?

Hard to beat IrfanView for a free image manipulation package. Quite a few scan options as well.

if it is TWAIN, you should be able to use any graphics software to scan it. i set mine up to scan and convert into PDF when i had a flatbed scanner. now i got a all-in-one brother printer.
