No, they won't be hiring in Sg until maybe 2 months later. If you want you can go to Kuala Lumpur, they are doing for CV submissions only.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (CV Submission only)
Open Day: 26th September 2009 09:00AM-14:00 PM
Venue: Renaissance Hotel

Or you can wait for them to come to SG again. Out of 500++ people at the open day they chose only 40! I got into that but got booted out during elimination for last round. So they elminated 20! :'( So unlucky. There were two discussion rounds then an english test and a reach test - 212cm.

Oh well, gonna try for SIA or Emirates if they hire. :D

At the current rate Emirates is going, be happy that they don't retrench you as soon as you complete your training!

Psst.. However little they pay, they still pay much more than your current job. The experience to travel the world and getting paid for it beats your puny mind$et down big time.

This job is too low-class for you so why join if you're already complaining about the salary? Makes no sense at all.

The basic is $1.5USD, it isn't low at all. I've friends in Qatar Airways and after adding flying pay plus layover pay they can earn up to $6000 SGD. You can earn more in Qatar Airways and Emirates than in SIA. Emirates and Qatar Airways pay are the same, basic is always $1.5USD.

So your friend must be a CSD to be earning SGD6k. Don't be ridiculous, nobody earns SGD6k as a newly-joined cabin crew (with or without flying experience).

FYI, SQ crew is earning more than us.

Nope, my friend is in Qatar for 3 years and a cabin crew. Flying pay plus allowances added up to 6k.
