Um... just in case you really didn't understand, he's saying CTE (see tee ee), aka the Central Expressway.
ooooooooooooooooooh so thats it. hahahahaha i always hear it as CITY.
Some years ago I was doing a very extensive TV commercial shoot over in the Army training grounds in Lim Chu Kang. We had a kiwi Director of Photography (DOP - hah! I can use acronyms too!) who has never worked in Singapore before. After 9 days of traveling to and fro from the hotel he was staying in in River Valley Road to Lim Chu Kang he finally pulled me aside and asked me, "Where the hell is this pie that I keep seeing signs for?"

One suggestion for the list:

You also reserve seats with packs of tissue at the foodcourt or hawker centres. (Esp for those who work in Raffles Place)!
Lol.

it should be a living list

my contribution:

61. You stop secretly sniggering at people who refer to the date as "two oh oh nine" instead of "two-thousand-and-nine" used by the rest of the world. But only because you've heard it so many times...

62. You find (almost) yourself doing the same rude thing on the bus by forcing the person who wants to sit down, to inconviently crawl over you to get to the window seat.

63. You are no longer stunned at the frightening prices and lack of choices of DVDs and CDs for sale here and just buy from the internet.

...and I'm sure there are others to follow

LOL the list is very funny.

I am suprised you didnt mention the statement below or did I miss that?
You start using "Las" at the end of the every sentences or asking "Can?" instead of "can you do xyz?"

Ohh yeah and you start to think that having "5 drinks" is FAR TOO MUCH.

That's interesting. I've always found DVDs and CDs to be around half the price of what they are back "home". Mind you, 'back home' for me is Ireland.

They sell them at pharmacies these days. But these are gums that are good for teeth.

We had a kind of ad-hoc farewell party for our colleague (Caucasian). All together 10-12 people and a local lady entered the room holding a six-pack of beer (small cans) with a glowing expression of triumph on her face and the words "lets get him wasted". This was the only alcohol bought for this occasion.
