Hey ladies,

It was wonderful to meet all of you. We should do it again sometime... hopefully Kai will be better behaved next time around.

As for the baby carrier (Beco Baby Carrier), I got mine off of the direct distributor: http://www.cozybabies.com.sg/catalog.php?category=1

BUT I know another retailer selling it at a discount:
http://bebelove.com.sg/specials.php

I am a great fan of baby wearing and I have found that this carrier best distributes the weight (after a wrap). May get a little warm on sunnier days though but better than the wrap I have now.

Happy baby wearing!

Regards,
Peng

New mum to Singapore

Post by elle83 » Sat, 20 Jun 2009 11:33 am

Hi,

Wow, I have lost track as to how many of you are in this mother's group, its fantastic. I am a mum to a 8.5 month old girl and have just moved to Singapore 1 week ago. I am living in Robertson Quay and would love to join your group. I'm not very good at using these forums either so my email is [email protected] I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks Elisha

Hi,

I'm a Singaporean mum to a 7.5 months old daughter. My husband registered an account to post at the classifieds about his baby webstore & whilst browsing, I noticed this thread. Hope to be able join all your discussions & meetups even though I am not an expat mum like you all.

I'm also using the Beco Baby Carrier. Its a great buy. My daughter is so snug in it and it really takes the load off my back. I got it from the local distributor.

Cheers,
Fifi

New mum support group

Post by katnik » Thu, 25 Jun 2009 5:10 pm

If you are looking for additional support, social opportunities, talks by professional speakers on parental subjects, friendships perhaps also look at the New Mothers Support Group. www.nmsg-singapore.com

I joined them when I first came to Singapore and they matched me up with some other mums in the area who are now firm friends, we go to organised events once or twice a month and meet other people.

All the support you can get is great when moving to a new country with a bub. :)

Hi Ladies,

Sorry it took forever to reply!

It was so good to catch up with other expat mums and mums to be.

Thanks for the info on the great baby sling, it looks so easy to use.

Tess - I have the top of your water bottle - I can give it to you at the next meet up when you are back from HK.

Hope everyone is well and babies are all happy!

Shall we meet up again soon?

Alicia & Edi

Hi everyone

Are you having another coffee date as I would love to join you all.

I'm originally from Sydney but have been living here for almost 2 years. I now have an 11 week old baby girl and would like to meet some other mums. :)

Hi Daze and Elle83

Not sure where you guys are based but I'm at Keppel Bay. Vivo City is a good place as there are plenty of coffee shops where we could bring prams but I'll be happy to meet anywhere.

Hey!

Lets meet up again soon!

Just got back from Hong Kong. Vivo city works for me but anywhere is fine.

Alicia, thanks for holding on to my bottle top!

See you all soon!

I am a Singaporean mummy with a 5 months old baby. Would love to meet up too. How about the East Coast beach or Parkway Parade? Anyone living around these areas?
