eeeks, i think i run the risk of sounding like a broken record, cos i posted this many times le... anyway, here goes...

the chin by dr nara was fine, because it suited my original face shape. but later on i did jaw implants, which increased the width of my face, so my first chin implant ended up looking too short in proportion. in the end i got it revised with Dr Pat who did my jaw implants.
Addvark, u certainly do nt sounds like 1 & have really been a great help.. Thanks alot.. :D

Btw do u hv a pic of ur chin done by dr nara?? Can i see it pls??

Water jet lipo is when a solution that dissolves the fat mixed with anaesthetics is injected through a tiny incision in stomachskin layer and than sucked out.
Vaser on the other hand is done with ultrasound to break down fatcels and liquify them and then suck out.

For Vaserlipo look here http://www.laser-surgery-bangkok.com/, it's more expensive but it's said to be a better way to remove fat as there is more control over quantity thats gonna be removed. But I don't know, never saw results myself. Waterjet is much more common and thats what I had.
Hi, I'm totally new & took really many days to read thru as much as possible on the posts for lipo, but still have so much qns. Pls bear with me if this are repetitive:

1. Was actually considering dr nara's until i read abt this water jet lipo. i chk the sp clinic website, is more expensive than dr nara's. is it true that it takes out more fat than tumescent lipo, and can see results faster?

2. since i am doing in thailand, i am really concern abt the post-op care. i read that its good to go for ultra sound, rf etc so that skin will not be saggy. any good recommendations where and what treatments are good locally? also abt the compression garment, wat size to buy? if i buy my current size, will it be too large (altho i dun mind if this happens.... but will be good to hv the correct size to compress the area)

3. would appreciate if i can msn with anyone who have done either treatment before so tat i know wat to expect, & not over-expect.

anyway, i have just gave birth to my 2nd kid 4.5mths ago, & have been told that I can only go for lipo at least 6mths after giving birth. if i am going to dr nara, i think i can actually make appt now....
I'm sorry thought waterjet was same as tumescent but seems its not. So I wouldn't know about taking out more fat.

As for saggy skin, I had lymph drainage massage after lipo for swelling and wear compression garment for a cpl of weeks. I would just wait and see how that turns out and then you can decide whether to do more like mesotherapie or cellulift or thermage or whatever. But since you just had a kid my guess is you're still young so I wouldn't worry to much about saggy skin. It's really age and weight that is responsible for sagging. I'm 62 and my skin is a bit saggy, but not enough so as to do TT, I'm allright with the way it is. Better saggy that fatty!

About garment size I had velcro closure in front so you can adjust. My garment I got from PS, but had lipo done in Belgium.
www.makemeheal.com you can read all about compression garmetn.

oh tks for the reply, i thought waterjet liposuction is much more newer than vaser liposuction. As it stated that waterjet liposuction had lower downtime than vaser liposuction. ..thus it is more exp than vaser. As in korea vaser already outdated liao....but in sg..is seem to be very popular....as i myself had done vaser before on my arm ..i could say it very painful as i have zero threhold of pain..Tat why thought of waterjet liposuction as my alternative, it say to be more gentle and lesser downtime. lesser swelling and e doc say can see full result within 6 week time.compare to vaser. it need abt 6 mth. Any kind soul out there who had done waterjet liposuction kindly share your experience with me..

Tks a million.

I am staying at bedrooms boutique. Will review if it is good, as it is the only hotel nearest to Tokai...

As the date draws nearer, i get more and more impatient.

I start browsing through photos of male celebrity and think

" Will his eyes/nose suits me?"
" Will i look good with that nose/eyes?"

After spending half a day surfing male celebrity photos, I stopped trying.

I realised that i think with more expectations, comes more disappointment.

Maybe if i go there with a mindset of getting a pair of nicer eyes and a better nose as opposed to whose eyes or nose i should get, I would come back as a happier guy?

Just Can't Wait!! Arghz

erm, i think the surgeons aren't gods, so they can't start plucking perfect noses out of the air and place it on ur face, so ur expectations have to be very realistic. u may not come bk as brad pitt, but u will come bk with a nicer looking nose or eyes.

let's say on a scale of 10, an op can improve u by 2-3 pts based on the surgeon. if u were a 5, u might come bk as a 7 or 8; if u were 7, u will come bk a 9 or 10. most celebs were not too bad looking to begin with, hence they look so amazing in the end.

basically the emphasis is on 'improvement', not 'different'

waterjet lipo suction

hi vainpot may i know where did you done your waterjet lipo at sg or thailand ?? care share wif me your experience ie the downtime pain level and how the result so far..

Tks a million

VAINPOT_SG wrote:
adonz wrote:vainpot_sg u have been trying to get ppl to go for water jet lipo in many forums...

anyway i think the charges on the website is freaking ex.. moreover it sounds like tumescent lipo to me (similar to wad tokai n nara r doing)

laserlipo or smartlipo can be done at the clinics i mentioned in previous post. they dun pump in saline or water or any fluid in your body. basically just melt the fats using laser n suck it out. it's the most fuss free lipo i've done. i did my smartlipo at orchard n immediately after tat i went shopping. tink i had abt 3L of fats drawn out..no downtime at all n only very small amount of LA is used.
Hi adonz, I have tried water jet lipo and smartlipo before and I am satistified with the both result. But I PERSONALLY preferred water jet lipo as more fats were being sucked out and I could see instant result immediately before the swelling kick in. As for Smartlipo it is slightly less invasive compare to waterjet lipo. Both lipo technology has their pro and con. Some prefer to see instant result LIKE ME but some prefer to suffer lesser pain. It is individual preference.

And what wrong's of me sharing my experience with the rest??? This is a forum to share our experience. Waterjet and tumescent lipo is totally different! I had LA too for waterjet and I could even answer a call from my client in the midst of the operation. I don't know if I have alot or very little of LA as I am not practicing Medicines. And that the amount of LA used isn't my main concern. I am more concern about the amount of fats being sucked out. Smartlipo is more ex than waterjet. Smartlipo is more experience than waterjet.

Thanks for sharing your smartlipo experience! :)

M'sian mum, 45kg, dies on her 15th lipo op

SHE wasn't happy with her figure, so she went under the knife again and again.

After 14 liposuction treatments, the Malaysian businesswoman, who used to weigh over 50kg, tipped the scales at a mere 45kg.

Not satisfied, she decided to go for her 15th - and final - operation.

On Tuesday afternoon, the woman, who was in her 30s, stepped into a beauty parlour in a five-storey shophouse in Kuala Kumpur, reported China Press.

She had been visiting the same shop since December 2007, spending over RM1,000 ($416) there each time.

A police spokesman told China Press that shortly after the woman was given the anaesthetic, she started vomiting and later lost consciousness.

Forty minutes later, she was dead.

Her body was taken to the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital for an autopsy.

The spokesman said that the parlour had a licence, and had been providing services such as liposuction and other cosmetic procedures for almost a year.

He added that anyone considering such surgery should consult a doctor that specialised in this field.

The victim was the general manager of a firm selling technological products.

Her husband, aged 35, works as a manager in the same firm. They have three daughters aged between 3 and 11.

The woman's relative told China Press that the victim was not fat, but had put on a little weight after her pregnancy.

She said the victim had complained of some pain in her rear after a previous session and was planning to discuss her discomfort with a doctor during her visit on Tuesday.

The victim's husband said she had also told him about the pain, and that she had been taking painkillers for a month.

He recounted how his wife had to go back to the doctor after a session because her stomach started hurting. He alleged that the doctor had left some thread in her abdomen.

The doctor had to operate to remove the thread.

He said he had advised his wife to stop going for liposuction, but she had refused.

Hi Chryselle,

For scar, you may go to pharmacy to look out for creams or sillicon pad. As the products varies for different pple.

You may consider the list stated below:

Mederma, Kelo-cote Scar jel, Silicone sheets

Hope that the above helps :D
