hi girl,
dr kao did rib cartilage for me as he finds tat i will look nicer with a higher bridge. by using the rib carti, it helped to pull down my tip by eliminating my short nose at the same time. his advise was that my nostril width need not be reduce in order to go with my 'long' face shape explaining that a small nose will make my face look even longer. *sigh* i hate my sharp face coz i rave for a small define nose. :(

Dr Kao clinic/hospital?

Post by Blissful09 » Thu, 26 Mar 2009 12:59 pm

Hey guys im very confused.... Dr Kao works in San Zhong or Kang Ning Hospital ? I read all the threads and im unable to pm u because im knew.

If you have had rhinoplasty with Dr Kao can u please email me at blissful09@live.ca? ca.. not com..

i have a few questions 1) for those who use ear cartiledge.. did u fine ur ear normal looking later? does it REALLY grow back?

2) Anthesentic.. when the needles enter your arm.. did it hurt?

3) if someone had told u something u wish u knew before entering ps what would it be? for example "i wish i brought q-tips"... or "i wish i took vitamin c pills so it would have been less painful.. etc"

How much did u guys pay and what did u do?

Also im having a very hard time finding a place to stay nearby, which place did u guys stay? and how much did u pay for accomdation? (hotels)
please help me out, im interested in dr kao, need cheap prices for hotels

hi blissful, Dr Kao is running between tis 2 places. As per the namecard which he gave me states Tues 9am-12pm (San Zhong), Wed 2pm-5pm (Kang Ning), Fri 9am-12pm (San Zhong). The missing days are blank in his namecard.

1) for those who use ear cartiledge.. did u fine ur ear normal looking later? does it REALLY grow back?
A: Im unable to advise as Dr Kao did not utilize my ear cartilage

2) Anthesentic.. when the needles enter your arm.. did it hurt?
A: For my rhino op, i was under GA (painless, they will place a oxygen mask for u to inhale & u will be knock out within secs)

3) if someone had told u something u wish u knew before entering ps what would it be? for example "i wish i brought q-tips"... or "i wish i took vitamin c pills so it would have been less painful.. etc"
A: I regretted not eating fried chicken cutlet (1 of taiwan's famous snack) b4 my surgery coz fried & spicy food has to be avoided after the surgery. lol.. ok bck to serious, the only thing I can recall is that after my surgery, they place a cold pad on my forehead & I was sleeping flatly on my bed. I remove the cold pad when I woke up & continue to slp. Few days later when I follow up with Dr Kao, he says my nose is quite badly swollen. I figured out that after surgery its quite critical to keep the cold compress on ur forehead to keep the swelling down & sleeping elevated is crucial as well.

I did rib cartilage rhino at NTD110k (excluding consultation & treatment fee) but not to worry, consultation & treatment fee is relatively cheap. As for my accomodation, I stayed in a cheap hotel but its consider quite far, abt 1hr traveling time by taking train & transit to shuttle bus to rch Dr Kao's place. You can check back at my earlier post (few days back), if ya interested in that hotel.

Yup he juggles between these 2 hospitals saying he needed extra cash lol... Mikko did her surgery at Kangning but me n Jessi did ours at Tri Service...

Me and Jessi used ours but now huh... wait ar i go see mirror... my ear look as good as before...

2) Anthesentic.. when the needles enter your arm.. did it hurt?

Hmmm dun rem the pain at all cos was all excited... No oxygen mask for my case, was talking to Dr Kao until i zzzzzz.....

3) if someone had told u something u wish u knew before entering ps what would it be? for example "i wish i brought q-tips"... or "i wish i took vitamin c pills so it would have been less painful.. etc"

hmmm haiz... i have a super regret lor... I regretted forgetting to tell Dr Kao to cure my snoring problem before i fall asleep... the moment i wake up i was askin Dr Kao oh will i still snore and his reply was "oh you didn't tell me... haiz... could have cured tis prob once and for all... arghhhhh...
another regret was we ate toooooooo much fried chix.... gain 5kg when i came back sg...

I did mine also at NT110K (there's additional fees for the blood testing, xtray but it's around S$100) We stayed at Kangning Service Apartment and if you tell them you're dr kao's patient and it'll be NTD2000.

Oh sweet, no needles?! thats my kind of surgery.. GA is general right? HE stated that... and im not sure which one is the cheapest method or safest...
what does elevated mean? Sleep sitting up with ur back against the wall or laying completely on your back (like normal) but your face must be looking straight at roof at all times?

yeah im very scared of hidden fees, im a working student... and my parents went back to China because they got laid off... do i haveto pay for extra medication? Oh that brings about this question for everyone to answer...

Ok.. so.. i read somewhere on a doctors note (i think a application for surgery in thailand or osmething) and it said Do not take medication or vitamins before surgery or something...
But a girl i read for a forum said she felt NO PAIN whatsoever and NO swelling.. NONE. Its like she perfectly healed in a week! Mind you, she did rhinoplasty. She said its probably cuz she took alot of vitamin C before surgery...

So.... which one is it?
