I also just arrived from Oz and received my S pass only just 2 weeks ago. It was initially rejected which apparently is quite common as the MoM just quickly skims the criteria or it gets automatically vetted by a filter.
But my boss went down to appeal it and it then got approved. From what I've read, this is very very common. So don't be disheartened if your EP or S pass is initially rejected. All it takes is for your employer to head down in person and speak to someone at MoM about looking at it intead of the application just being vetted by a computer or whatever, and chances are you may be fine.
That being said, I just had my E-Appointment for my PR today so now comes the waiting game!!! Wish me luck!
I guess it also depends on your line of work. I was worried as I'm not in a line which is specialised or anything like that, and that I also do not posess a degree, but I do have a Singaporean wife.
