I had brunch at home--leftover penne with tomato sauce which i ate with fried pork chops (i should say chopettes bec of their itty bitty size).

i am not local but i see a lot of SGs eating noodles for breakfast... hmm now i am getting hungry

Breakfast? What's that?

Ok seriously, if I am to have breakfast, it's usually toast and butter with kaya, plus a steaming cuppa coffee.

Heavier breakfasts would entail 3 roti pratas (usually 2 plain and 1 with egg) which are absolutely delicious when it's hot off the frying pan.

Frankly I'd have to agree with the above poster. I didn't read anywhere where you were asking who had an imaginative breakfast. Don't ask if you don't want to hear the truth.

Yep, are you writing your original post correctly? 50% of the responders don't think so. :P

Not bad for a newbie, oh and thanks for the warm welcome.
:-k You've been here a month already!

So if I didn't give you the royal welcome on the 16th of February, then 'WE' (depends on which side of the bed I wake up on - or the floor) are glad you have joined our little family here. 'We' often take the p*ss here and hopefully, newbies have lurked a while before signing on the dotted line so will not be too surprised. Sorry about forgetting to roll out the red carpet but we didn't know, in advance, you were coming.

Anyway, welcome aboard!

Oh, as my nick suggests, my sunday morning staple used to be local indian tea and roti prata kosong (dua) & telor (satu). and the sunday papers in the Original Thesavi's in Jalan Kayu (when he only had a single griddle in a corner of the Chinese Kopi shop just outside the main gate of Seletar Camp.

Probably there are three or four traditional breakfasts here. Roti Prata, rice porridge (congee) & nasi lemak. Another that is popular is Kaya Toast
