it'd depends what needs, for pure hydration i like Avene hydrance light hydrating cream, simple and for everyone, if she has concerns for pigmentation perhaps she can get a whitening serum to go under first

I heard Bio-Essence moisturizer received quite a lot of good reviews. Keep seeing it in Cleo and whatnot. :) Also its quite cheap, so can consider - about $23 from Watsons?
Right now I'm using Clarins moisturizer for Dehydrated skin. It's a bit thick but if you don't use too much it sinks in quite nicely. But the only thing is its a bit ex.. Definitely recommend buying from Sasa rather than the Clarins counter. About $20 cheaper!

If your friend is ar 30 then Biotherm aqua source is perfect for her. It's easily absorb and it's working like magic and plus it smells beautifully, refreshing and young.

I've been a fan of clinique's moisturisers for at least 3 years now, it's light and really gentle on the skin ( i've acne prone skin ) and it doesn't feel like it clogs up your pores or acne spots when applied.
I've tried biotherm, they're good as they've concentrated mixtures but to have continual use might be uneconomical as each bottle is pretty much around min 70 to 200 bucks.

get a simple moisturiser and see how your skin adjust to the weather here before you get a more expensive one.
personally, avene is a safe drugstore bet..

You need to see the person skin type before deciding which brand or products is suitable as people with combination skin generally has much challenge in selecting the product suitable.
I used to have the pimples problem before and spent a lot of money searching for the right products to use. Sometimes my skin reacted against the products and I have to give it away after 1 or 2 use. It is very headache as the products I bought are normally not the cheap brand as my skin does not react well.
Just want to share.
