Will my Canadian iPhone (Rogers) work with a SG Sim card?

Post by tomodomo » Sat, 21 Feb 2009 5:44 pm

I'm moving to Singapore in the next week.
I have an iPhone 3G with Rogers here in Canada.
I am trying to find out if I can bring my iPhone with me and use a SIM card from a provider in Singapore.

thanks,

T.O.

if you want to use any other SIM in your iPhone 3G, you will need to jailbreak it.

Just my 2 cents....

I recently relocated my business from Australia to Sing and brought with me my Australian iPhone (which was NOT network locked btw....something you didn't mention which is probably very important!).

I simply swapped out the old SIM for a SingTel 3G SIM and it has been working like a champ ever since!

Oh, and the phone is not jailbroken either.

So...I would be guessing that, assuming your Canadian iPhone is not network locked then you should be good to go.

Mike
