Sorry I have been a bit lame recently - but it all sort of died over the festive season with everyone going home and going travelling. BUT it is now 2009 and we are back on track - yippee.
its all very simple - a few jugs of beer, some food at lau pa sat and then usually a bit of dancing afterwards or just chilling depending on the general mood. Group is made up of 20 - 30 somethings and pretty much every walk of life. All you need is to enjoy hanging out and relaxing!
We meet at raffles place MRT by the passenger services desk at 7pm every Wednesday and then we walk over to Lau Pa Sat.
I have changed my email to [email protected] - because yahoo HATES me - apologies to anyone that couldn't contact me/ never heard from me - wasn't purposely ignoring you I promise.

Hey if anyone is interested - we are doing this same again this week and every week. Meeting this wednesday in Raffles Place MRT at 7pm and then heading over to Lau Pa Sat for beer and satay. I am fairly new to Singapore and 'm looking to meet some people other than those that I work with. I'm pretty easy going and quite simply just like to socialise and have fun. I'm 22, from England. Do you think this is the type of thing for me? Do I just show up?

That's perfectly alright,although in my case I am a local 21/m....sometimes I do feel a little uncomfortable when replying to certain post pertaining gatherings and whether would I be welcome amongst expats.

Couldn't find the original thread (irish female newbie) I used to put this info on so I have had to create a new one .

Basically a group of us get together every Wednesday in Lau Pa Sat for cheap beer and food and then move on to a pub/ club to continue the festivities! Always good fun and good group of people.

Anyhoo we are meeting as usual this Wednesday at Raffles Place MRT at 7 pm from there we move on to Lau Pa Sat. This week we are going to Insomnia afterwards which is $20 entry and then free flow from 9-11 for boys, and 9-12 for girls.

The more the merrier so please join us.

This is a bit late in the day - I know but just to let everyone know.. we are (as usual) meeting up for beer and satay tonight. 7 pm Raffles Place - tonight I shall be sporting a brown dress and the usual red hair if you fancy tagging along.

Hey everyone

Just a reminder that Wednesday night is going ahead as usual. Meeting in Raffles Place MRT tonight (by the passenger services desk) at 7pm. We had a load of newbies turn up last week which was great and as always the more the merrier!
We are gone from the MRT by 7.15 so if you are a little late just head over to the lau pa sat - we eat in front of Satay Power (stall 7) and are usually pretty difficult to miss!

Wednesday is here again and as usual it is the same set up.

Newbies to the group usually find it easier to meet us at Raffles Place MRT station by the passenger services desk at 7pm. If you are running a little late just head to the Lau Pa Sat satay stalls and you will find a large group of us sitting in front of Power Satay.
