Hey all,

Mid-thirties guy, now in SG. Looking for fellow "older" expats or locals who are into smaller and slower gatherings--malling, walking, eating out, people watching over coffee. Less extroverted and not-so-hyperactive people preferred. Work is frenetic so I prefer weekends to be calm. Leave a message if you fit the bill then we'll take it from there.

Would also be nice to chat online first as evenings are soooo silent if it weren't for the aircon. PM me for contact details.

Take care...

Moto

The way Moto discribe it sounds like Dounut is already in the stage of "Older & Slower" :o

Count Dounut in.

Just relocated to Singapore. Going slower sounds good to me. Please let me know if anything is organized.

Hi Laocgirl,
I am a Chinese female who have worked in Tokyo for 2.5 years. I love everything Japanese and I miss the place so dearly. Too bad I haven't really picked up the language (due to laziness and work/play commitment). If you don't mind, let's get together for coffee or movies (especially Japanese ones).

Hi there
It's my first day in this forum. Female, Malaysian Chinese, 30s' and have been working in SG for the past 4 years. Yeah, it took me 4 years (duh!... and definitely fits the category of being 'slow') to find out this expat site and the forums - and it all started from checking out the properties classifieds. Do let me know if there is any gathering - would like to know more friends this year! Thanks and happy new year!

Hi xxxPotato
Quite aptly I was also checking out some Japanese launguage classes recently. One highly recommended school was Bunka Lunguage Pte School for it's structured curriculum. The school is also registered with the MOE here. Let me know if you are keen. It can be helpful having a partner taking up a new language together.

Hi Alcie and xxsPotato,
I am seriously thinking about enrolling in a weekday evening class at Bunka or Ikoma for elementary Japanese. My plan is to start in mid Jan or early Feb. Let me know if you'd like to do this together.
