Hey Kaka,

I'm moving to Charming hotel tomorrow together with Aneles and we'll be going home on the 23rd. Is Charming hotel close to where you'll be staying? We could catch up from there. :)

I'm kind of scared, but you know all doctors are not perfect, so I'm taking a risk. Unless, someone can recommend a doctor or a clinic that's both good in rhinoplasty and face shaping.
Yes in Singdollars. I converted.
Hmmmm...my friend who did rhinoplasty with Dr Chuang...she was very happy but i didnt like it. It looks very westernised...lt's too high, it started at the eyebrow..
But she likes it! Well...personally i wouldnt go to him for rhinoplasty bcos i prefer using ribs instead of the foreign objects.

For face shaping,Dr Hsieh is really caring and professional dr. I also msn him to discuss face shaping with him..He's a little more expensive than Dr Chuang but his english is very good. I think he studied in the states or something. I cant rem. My friend is very happy with it too..and i thought it looks quite good too!

I asked Dr Kao/Dr Hsu and Dr Chuang if i can do my face and nose at the same trip..and they said, unless it's done togther, if not it's a no no...

I only wanted autologous...so Dr Chuang is out(He does it but he charges too high and he doesnt do that too often compared to Dr Hsu and Dr Kao)...that means a separate trip aft the face surgery has deswelled which can be another 6mths later. =(
So that means one can't have both procedures done it one trip? I live in the U.S., and it will be so expensive for me to go back and forth. Also, do Drs. Kao and Hsu do face surgeries as well? I'd rather personally go to Dr. Kao. He seems very good according to people.
Yes you can do 2 precedures tog, but must be at the same time.
But one after another, no...bcos of the swelling,it'll affect judgement.
Dr Kao and Dr Hsu are ENT specialists...they do not do facial reshaping at all. I even asked Dr Kao if there are bone reshaping doctors in his hospital that can perform the precedure alongside with him...and he said they are not as experienced, so he would not want me to do my face reshaping there.
In fact i asked Dr Hsu too...he says the experts in facial bone reshaping are in taipei.

Oh, okay. I guess I might just go to Chuang then. I don't even want to do autologous rhino, anyway. But if he'd quote me for a really huge amount, and I wouldn't be able to afford face reshaping, I'll just go to Kao for rhino. I don't even know if I need face reshaping or not. Chin augmentation and cheek fat reduction will prolly suffice my desire; I'd better ask Dr. Kao. He does chin augmetation, too, am I correct?
Hmmm im sorry cant remember.. I know Dr Hsu does chin as well.
Perhaps you can check with those who went to him.
Did you send your pics to Dr Chuang to ask what you need to do if you want to reshape your face to the ideal face shape that you want? No harm asking if you havent.
You can check with Dr Kao too.

Hi Kittygirl8,

I did my rhinoplasty with Dr Kao on the 28th Nov~ Don't get worried over the current look right now okie? hahhaa.. to be honest with you, i was abit like "wht E Hell" at first but now after almost 3 wks, the nose bridge and wings has become smaller but not totally there yet. So be patient and wait okie? A Happier girl is the way to a healthier recovery~

i was at a very bad condition after my surgery compare to others, Dr Kao actually gave me more medi~ That was caused by my playfulness, i went to Luxy (clubbing) after my surgery, inhaled 2nd smoke everyday and drank Choya almost everyday. But after he nagged me like my dad, I was more careful and less playful~

I think it will take at leas like 2 mths for a totally de-swell~
Be patient....
Hi Jocundster,

Are you the patient that went partying on the 2nd day after surgery????

Dr Kao's associate doctor (this filipino doc) was telling me that there is this patient that amazed them, can go out dancing & drinking at the disco on the 2nd day - when i heard that, i was like 'wtf??? how on earth is that possible when im still feeling so feeble & barely can walk myself to the toilet???' hahahahaha

You are quite amazing work! But its good to hear that you were able to enjoy yourself during this time - makes me feel shy that I am here whining. ;p
Wow!... That a very interesting experience to share!.. partying after Rhino surgery??... Anyway, i always imagine that the nose will keep bleeding for at least 2 days after surgery and very difficult to breath. Also if nose itchy also cannot scratch... :p

Hey Aneles,

i think he is referring to me, i guess? lol~
Taipei is soooo freaking fun~ You got to go "Luxy" and see it for yourself... Right now, i am listening to Dr Kao's aka. Dad order to get away from smoke, drinks, exercise, sunlight & Hot spicy food... My nose is de-swelling now in fact~

Its all in your mind actually~~ Wipe off the blood, put on your mask and enjoy while you are in Taipei, you will understand what i mean... No point getting frustrated in a room when you look into the mirror.. Why not think of places you want to go and go all the way right? >_<

Take care and don't worry too much Aneles~
PS: listen to dr's order if you want the swelling to go down faster okie? lol~

Cheers,
Jo

Dear Jess82,

it was an interesting experience for me~

To answer your question, my nose stopped bleeding constantly after 2nd days but it will still bleed partially, so get your cottonbuds ready wherever you go... I have no breathing & itchiness problems after the surgery, so don't worry about it~ If i have any breathing problem, i think i will die first because i am asthmatic~ LOL

Cheers,
Jo

After... 40 pages and 4 hours of intensive mugging, I have some questions... I'll direct to the more recent posters first. pardon my ignorance! I haven't done anyth in taipei yet. I will refrain from asking too general ( and repeated ) questions. :) Here are specific qns which will really help when I do my eyes with dr chuang and nose w. dr kao.

jocundster
how is your nose which was done on 28th nov with dr kao recovering after the clubbing? Was it solely rib? How was taipei backpackers' hostel like? Would be helpful if you could review the hostel. Thx!!

uglypiglet u look fine now but can benefit from epi. you look so much better, congrats!

aneles, kittygirl8 did you girls move to charming hotel in the end after staying at kang ning service hotel? How is it, heard the cost is 833NTD per night, true?

moonlight_pmdct
you must be having your surgery soon. have u decided your eyes upon dr su/dr chuang? Nose is with dr kao right.

I did jaw shaving, replace my chin implant with a new one, and revision double eyelids with dr chuang yesterday. Now my face is swollen like a pig ad lips numb so really cant eat anything at all.

Pain is bearable but I left my Sinecch at dr chuang's office :(

All I want to do is sleep now. Cant see properly maybe cos eyes are swollen.
