Maybe in the infrastructure sector, since that's where the government usually injects investment to buoy the economy, and that's if you have specialised skills that could justify hiring a foreigner over a Singaporean. Many firms are sending expats home now in a bid to hold on to local employees as long as they can. And most firms have frozen hiring for the time being. It's not impossible, but going to be tough.

IMHO,

IreSg, do secure a job before you move to Singapore. That's what I did before moving here. I found my job online at www.jobstreet.com.sg and came here to interview when I was on vacation here. I do have a colleague who interviewed via telephone and teleconferencing. So it's possible for you not to get here for interview if it's too far away. Of course, that really depends on the company you're applying for.

Other online job listings are available at just a google search away. If you're highly skilled in your area of industry, thou shalt not worry.

If you're thinking of moving here first then find a job, it'd help if you have:
1. A lot of money, hahaha, because Sg is an expensive place.
2. Friend(s) who are already here.
3. Patience and perseverence.
4. Visa, if your passport needs one.

Yeah, friends always love having "Friends" staying with them for longer than 3 days when the friend are broke and planning to finding a job in the middle of a recession with utility bills rising, food costs rising, etc. They won't be friends for long...... :P

One would be lucky to find job any where . . . but to spend savings on coming over, rental/hotel, food etc . . .

My wife is a Singaporean so maybe the accomondation will be sorted first might stay with the family as for my skills I am completing my deg in Pharma Science this yr and have 15 yrs with 4 yrs in mgmt. Had work in Sg before with a big pharma firm for start up 7yrs back.

Of coz, it will be good to know someone could recommend which website or recruitment firm that specialize in this areas. I know that pharma used to be big over in Sg so hopefully able to get some contract work.

hei guess what
