Hello everybody. I'm back to update again. Alright, I'm quite happy with my nose's new height, but due to my nose the alar is asymmetrical plus mild swelling on my nose tip. Front views is not above my expectation. Dr Hsu tell me it takes times for the swelling to goes and my nose tip will be more defined. Also comment on my facial features that my nature nose is mild deviated to right side even my chin. I agree with him, as I can see my before pictures that left chin edge is convex, but right side chin edge is concave. In brief, my face is asymmetrical, especially lower face. Hmmm...... well i think if i pursue for perfection, scared will end up like Michael Jackson (eeek ... yucks)

Well my final updates of my surgery, shall updates with you in 3mths time :)

wow... thanks for sharing your pics!!
i must say there is an immediate distinct difference before and after the nose surgery... as noticible, the distance btw ur eyes are immediately drawn closer.. i hear it is common due to nose surgery.. and good thing coz before the distance was further, and now it makes ur face looks sharper!

cant wait to see the final after the cast is taken off... do take care though during this period... drink fluid to help ur body heal faster...

qn: when u consulted Dr Hsu, how did u tell him wat kind of nose u want or u just let him decide? or showed him pics?

and when dr hsu recommended his treatment for u, did he tell u like how much he is going to do? eg. cut how much of ur rib? give u how high a nose? etc?

did dr hsu say recommend anything else besides rib graft, like gortex or silicone?

I also have the Shu Farvian c lotion, but I don't really see any improvement on my scar.. :(

Hi mikko,

Creams/lotions all works on individually. Just like moisturizer, facial wash, etc.. I only bought one set from him to try out if it really suits me. So far so good

Im sorry that it didnt take any effect on u...

tobehunk >>> actually I show him the nose pictures that I want and he discuss with me what can be achieve and what cannot. He only tell me he uses all the rib tissue that he harvest from my rib and claim that he did too high for my nose. Which I thank him is not too high, just nice and he laugh and comment the higher the merrier provided my entire nose can withstand the stretch :) Well is also depend on ur nose itself, if do too high ur nose cannot withstands the stretch it will worsen ur condition. That's what he told me.

Hi all! I've been a lurker here for a few months just reading all the things people have been posting about PS. I have to say a huge thank you because all the posts here finally made me confident enough to do PS in Taiwan after seeing the lovely results everyone has had.

I'm planning to go some time in April or May to do my eyes. One of them has a double eyelid while the other doesn't. Super annoying since I look so uneven in photos.

Right now I'm still considering Dr Su and Dr Chuang. I know a lot of people from this forum went to Dr Chuang with fantastic results, still Dr Su is a specialist on doing the eyes.

Hm... I was just wondering if you have to pay for consultation with either clinic. It seems most people went to Taiwan to consult various doctors, so I was just wondering if you have to pay a nominal fee or something?

mikko_baby80>>> Yes, you're right my right eyelid and my nose tip still have the swelling effect :( Really hope it can deswell in the next few days. Yap especially I love to look at both of my side views. I totally looks like another person :)

wannabepretty18 >>> For Dr Su, consultation fees is NTD$100 and when I remove my stitches I also have to pay NTD$100 again.

hi, piglet.

your result is nothing short of amazing. originally, i was considering dr toriumi but now, im going for dr hsu as he seems to be as good as dr T.

just a quick question. im a guy as well and my nose is a bit similar as yours. i'm just wondering if you know many ribs were used in your case? when i had my consultation with dr T before, he told me that he might need 2 ribs.

blacktlatte>>> Well this is the best and natural that Dr Hsu would want to do for me. If really want a same nose like some of those handsome actors, also must in view of my original nose condition. Whether can fit the bill for over stretching.(Risk of wraping is high according to Dr Hsu for overstretching)

Well overall I'm very satisfied and there will be changes after 3mths. Shall see how. Dr Toriumi is good but the price is also good too. Well Dr Hsu did not tell me how many ribs he use in my case, but will try to ask him again tml when I go for my removal of my inner nostril stitches.

I’m finally in Taipei now for the beginning of my PS aka ‘cheongster’ journey. Albeit for a few hiccups, everything went pretty well.

I had my first consultation with Dr Chuang (Wish clinic) yesterday and I should say I left with more profound respect towards him. It was quite surreal to finally meet him in person after hearing so many rave reviews about him and you know what, he truly lives up to his name. He’s extremely kind and personable, and so easy to talk to, a father like figure which makes one feels so easy to trust and confide in. More importantly, I feel that he truly has passion for his work and truly wants to help others to improve their looks, and not solely about dollar and cents.

He spent almost 2 hours with me and Aneles (who is also from this forum and with whom I travel together with for this trip) albeit long lines of patients behind us, with the nurses coming in repeatedly to ‘tear’ him away from us. But he patiently attended to all our queries, even to the extent of giving me many useful advise with regards to rhinoplasty, even though I’ll be doing this with another doctor. He also showed me many photos of his past patients on his computer and we were so totally awed by his skill and expertise as there were so many examples of people who were like plain Jane before PS, but after the operation, look absolutely gorgeous! His aesthetic skill is just so good!

I was even tempted to have my rhinoplasty done by him after that but due to cost and some other minor factors, have to forgo this thought. But I will still be going to him for double eyelid and epi next week and am looking so forward to it! :)

Other than that, the apartment I stay in - Kanning apartment, is fairly good, although I was alittle pissed off when I was asked to pay NT$3000 (SG$100+) when I accidentally misplaced the door key to my room. Other than that, the location is ideal with amenities like 7-11, small eatery and hair salons within walking distance. Ray, the cab driver who was referred by fellow forummer, Vickyabc, is extremely nice and accommodating to our needs, which makes our navigation around Taipei so much easier. Thanks Vicky! :)

I’ll be having my rinoplasty tomorrow and am getting even jitterier now. Hope all the pain and money will be worth it with this PS cheongster emerging with victory! Lol.

Vicky, do you only apply the Shu Farvian essence on your scar? or do you have to massage the scar too afterwards?

I read on other thread about Dr kim also do face reshaping, but don't know which doc is better ler.
ya most welcome~

i believe u r talking abt Dr Kim Byung Gun. he's quite a reputable PS. all i noe is tat he often comes to Spore & gives free consultation. he's an SPR now & believe will be setting up his own clinic in sg soon. his latest visit was on 30nov08 i believe. did u get to see him? im not sure how gd he is but seems like many ppl find him for various surgery so i believe he has wat it takes. take ur time to do more research. to me, face reshaping is quite a major op. gd luck in ur research ya~ :D
but his price is very high, it's out of my budget.
Works seen here by dr chuang and dr su are amazing!!
if there any good surgeon that specialize in face coutouring in taiwan?
