just a side note, looking young can have its disadvantages. some ppl (the uninformed) equate youth to inexperience and that's a drawback in the job...appletree wrote:Hi boii18,boii18 wrote:guys i think the boyish shape face bahs.. i think the square face is cliched, but there ARE girls who like it. now the trend is the jap style i guess. haha! but most important dude is the proportions and individual features bahs. face shape is NOT a true determinant of beauty but it can help or minus point de... e.g u see angelina jolie abit square, or u see paris hilton so square, and btw american standard of beauty allows for models/actress to have squarely faces with high cheekbones. normal ovalish faces are considered as boring,

i dont agree with what you say on the prominent cheekbones and suarish jaw on a man as i have a handful of male friends with squarish jaws and promient cheekbones but still look so young in their 30s. Maybe you are right if you are refering to the females with promient cheekbones that tends to look older, but nothing to do with squarish look.

If I'm not mistaken, you have your eyes done by Dr. Chuang right??
Why did you choose Dr. Chuang over Dr. Su?
Also, because of my time limitation, i'm also looking into stitch method. In your opinion, what do you think about the stitch method?
After reading and knowing (and experiencing) a lot more about blepharoplasty, in my opinion, any type of stitching method is dumb looking and a poor choice... It does not emulate natural looking creases and may "fade" over time.
Pros:
-shorter down time
-less scarring
Cons:
-may disappear over the years as tissue and sutures weaken
-unnatural looking folds (the fold is permanent and does not emulate natural looking creases which disappear when you close your eyes)
-may complicate future revisional work because of the suture placement
So if you are looking into a shorter down time, I think mini incisional is a much, much better choice then the 3 point suture method. You get the full works of fats removal and rearrangement for natural looking creases. As for possible recovery in two weeks? Only your body knows...
Virtual erratum (hahaha...):

Within 2 weeks, she looks fantastic already. You might wanna look in the previous pages to see if her photo's still there. There's a few methods the tw surgeons use, one of which is the mini 3 point incision, which lets the eyes heal very fast. You can read more about that in dr chuang's website
Wat???!!! she doesn't let you see any of the pics of previous surgeries?? yikes! what am i supposed to do?? I want to see the pics because that's how I can see the surgeon's works.weeles wrote:Hi UglyPiglet,
what I meant by fatty eyelids is that my upper eyelids looked puffy, even if I applied thick eyeliner, it just wouldnt show if I opened my eyes, and if I pressed the lids, I could feel the fats there. I posted my before photo here about 3 weeks ago, u can check it out.
Hm, I think dr Su tends to be firm on her decision. She will only do crease that really suits ur eye shape. I initially asked for medium parallel crease, but she insisted on doing low tapered on me, so low that if I open my eyes real wide, the crease will disappear. She said that I don't have enough space between my eyes and eyebrow. That's why I went to dr Chuang instead, I thought if I already made the decision to do my eyes, why settle for something less? well, that's just me, dont want rugi.. tee hee
I requested to see photos of her previous eyejobs, but she refused to show them, maybe due to some privacy issues? not really sure why..
You could bring some photos and tell her what type of eyes u would like to have, but don't expect that she'll 'ok' your preferences. As I said, she prefers natural crease, whatever best for your eye and facial features.
Yes, I think mini incision is also known as korean method (1 cm cut in the middle of each eyelid), and I already look ok in 1 month. Even on the 2nd week with some concealer I could already go out without sunnies. I'm not sure about the recovery period of full incision, but it'll def take longer than 1 month.
Don't worry UglyPiglet, dr. Su has great reputation, I'm sure you'll be in good hand. Or in the worst case, you can still go to another doctor
Yeah, I have seen some of the pictures posted on Hi Pretty ^_^moonlight_pmdct wrote:Feline.eyes,
Thank you for your response. I really appreciate your opinion.
Did you have a chance to take a look at Dr. Yang from Hi-pretty double eyelids pictures or talk to him? He said he invented a procedure where the double eyelids doesn't disappear and also he can do fat removal while doing just the suturing method. What do you think of this?
Thanks
