I scoured flowerpod and i saw sato q10 had pretty good reviews for skin and could lighten pigmentation. just bought a bottle yest to try. BUT just in case it doesn't work (touch wood), anyone's got any other remedies?
aadvark, are they white patchy spots or brown rough-textured patches? if yes, that sounds like fungal like what felineeyes said - you can try anti-fungal cream from GP or pharmacy. the cream will help kill the fungal/bacteria & prevent it from spreading. But the white spots might remain (& tanning will help reduce the white spots).

Pigmentations are brown spots, looks alike freckles. :D

You seemed to have a lot done to your face huh? How much were you charged for the buccal fat removal? I believe the surgeon who did it must be very experienced and was it painful days after the surgery?

Thanks!!
i did it at tokai, along with the jaw implants. in contrast to the jaw, i really din feel the pain for buccal at all... i guess the pain's relative :)

aadvark:)

Can you remember how much you paid for your buccal fat surgery?

Is Dr. Pat a certified Plastic Surgeon ah? I read somewhere that his clinic is constantly changing it's name and he is of dubious character...is it true? I guess it's a very silly question to ask, cos you must trust him in order to go have so much done by him!!!

constantly changing its name? i dun remember reading such a post in the forum lei.

i did most of my stuff with Dr Nara actually. lol, i didn't go to dr pat cos i trusted him, it was cos his prices met my budget. i was the first in the forum to have gone to tokai, and it had nothing to do with trust at all, lol!

it was a package price along with the jaw implants so i dunnoe the price along for buccal. just email him for a quote la. i dun find him dubious la, just money-minded. he does keep ahead of the times tho, hardly anyone else does tipoplasty in bangkok

Dr Pat hes board-certified ( specialist ) in 1) facial plastic surgery and 2) family medicine. You can see his certs on the website. That time he didnt post the certificates. Even tho he specialise in face ( head and neck surgery ) he probably does great breasts, as everytime I go, there is a thai girl doing breast augmentation!

I hear you have to pay deposit now for new patients, but he cant be a scam lah don't worry. Lol. He just need money for his coming holiday. Btw he is a devout buddhist from what I know.

Actually definitely as a surgeon in private practice, he earns reasonably alot. But not alot. Considering 1) cost of overhead - he has many nurses, around 5 . nurses are paid highly in bkk, around 1500 sgd a month even for young nurses 2) electricity, water, cost of operation, cost of things needed in post-op care , cost of RENTAL in a bangkok as compared to hatyai, cost of medical equipment, cable TV, wireless internet, furniture, etc. But hes defnitely a high earner, lah, just not as much as u guys think

from wat aadvark says, nara certainly most likely has more patients. tokai typically around 2 surgeries on a normal day I think. Each surgery assuming he charges around 800 SGD average, so total is 1600SGD. In one day its around 1600 SGD. Minus staff cost of 300, its 1300 SGD. So one month is around 39 000 SGD. Minus miscellaneous clinic expenses like electricity, rental, medical equipment, aftercare stuff, etc I presume around 30 000 SGD.

The person probably read it from thaivisa forums, i read it from there too. Actually he did change his name, his own name, not the clinic's; i went through some of his certs in his website and found out that he used another name in the past. Supposedly, he had his clinic name changed too.. but there's no evidence to support that claim

I have emailed Dr Preecha (PAI) regarding my buccal fat removal. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to be interested. He is referring my case to another surgeon (his team mate). So sad, I believe my case may be too small a job for him:(

I am still checking around. As for Dr Greechart (Yanhee), he is taking a freaking long time to reply. I am getting impatient.

As for Dr Pat, he was quick to reply. In fact he replied the same nite I emailed him. I am so impressed.

But my dear husband is concerned about the standard of surgical practice at a clinic.

Hmmm.....any advice?

After my chin which was done a few days ago, my next PS enhancement is dubbed "Taipei Super-eyes 2009"

Taipei Super-Eyes 2009 ( Epi? Bleph? Double Lid? See what Dr recommend )

a) Doctor pinpointed : Dr Chuang
b) Approx budget : 3-4 K for surgery plus all expenses
c) Date : 10 Apr 2008 leave Sg ( Good Friday ) and reach Sg on 19 Apr 2008 Sunday. 9 days stay. Got to ask Dr when to remove stitch. If 10 days, then stay 10 days lo.
d) Accomodation : Unplanned, researching.
e) Flight : Jetstar, S$159, booking as soon as confirmed.

I have just emailed Dr Chuang and hope to get a reply. I think I am saying goodbye to the thailand thread. Will update on my chin when I de-swell. :)

his clinic is 4 storeys high, with 2 op theatres, i think u will feel quite safe to do it there... buccal fat pad removal is a very small op, he cuts from inside, squeeze out the fats and it's done :)
