3k+, means you had epi done too. You should know that with epi.. will take even longer time to heal. Did dr wong say it's still swollen?

http://www.drmeronk.com/asian/asian-eye ... after.html
read the part where he says 'Full healing of any surgery on the body can take 12-18 months or more, and the eyelids are no different'

I did'nt go back to see him anymore. He told me that all his patient stop seeing him after 3-5months and I'm the only one keep still consulting him at months 6 about my scar. He told me that my crease height looks normal. I requested for a secondary revision on my scar and crease but I have to pay for it. His service and attitude really piss me off and I stop going going back after he said all this.

maybe bear with it another 6 mths? crease can still decrease in size up to more than a yr, mine def took more than a year to decrease to half the initial size.

as for scarring, think can see skin specialist, think they use steroids for keloids
Next: Forehead augmentation, botox, RF

cosmetic surgery in kuala lumpur

Post by bergy76 » Mon, 06 Oct 2008 1:11 pm

Have u ever considered going to Kuala Lumpur for cosmetic surgery? I had some lipo done to my tummy 5 months ago by dr. nasir and its been great. the hospital was unbelieveble too, prince court medical centre, doesn't look like a hospital at all, more like a cross between a 5 star hotel and a technology centre! i went through this new company called perfect enhancement who are agents with this hospital. apparently they are the only agents who have a doctor looking after you post-op, which made me feel a little better than a nurse or sumone else looking at my wound. and they're really nice too, took care of everything. prices are cheaper than singapore too.

I really feel for you... I hate it when docs are like that - especially when they adopt some "god complex" or some "simlim sales man" persona. You shouldn't go back to him since you are going to get the same answer anyway.

Is he just charging for the OR/Anasthesia or charging an entire surgery fee again? I'm quite curious.

You might probably want to give this time though, wait out the six months, before seeking advice on a revision. My gut feel along with the pic, is that your result will subside even more since it does have the puffy look from chronic swelling that only time can heal.

I feel a second opinion with another doc will almost always garner you a negative appraisal of their competitor's work, and you'd want to be sure that at least it has healed optimally before seeking recourse.

Thanks for the feedback.. I will listen your advice and wait for another 6 months to see how it goes.. I used to be very upset and don't know how am I going to live this pair of werid eyes. Though i've get over it now, I have phobia of getting another eye surgery due this this bad experience.

Dr Wong did'nt find anything wrong with my eyes. He said that its common to have scar and it's due to my own healing problem, nothing to do with his skill. He quoted me a full fee for secondary revision. I did requested for steriod shots and had 2 session. It was very painful, my eyelid bleed and i cry after the injection. I ask for LA shot before getting steriod but Dr wong refuse. He find it pointless since both require injection. But if it's not painful, would i request for LA? I did research and read from website that LA is normally given before steriod shot.

Dr Wong told me that a secondary revision don't ganrantee that my eyes will be better, It might turn out to be worse.. It's obvious that he do not want to take responsibility of his botch job. I ever thought of asking for a refund since the result turn out to be a failure and he told me that the scar will not be noticeable after 6 months which is not truth. Come to think of it, I'm really angry. Sorry that I keep complaining about my problem here.

regarding your scarring, hopefully with time it will fade until it becomes almost unnoticeable ba
i'll say it again, your eyes don't look like they're totally healed yet. you don't believe then don't believe, if you go for a revision when that's really the case, you're just wasting your money

Hi all, I'm planning to go Korea for malarplasty (zygoma reduction) and lower blepharoplasty coming late Oct.

I'm running tight of time (yes, I'm a last minute ant), so I'm really in need to find some good and cheap acommodation. Service Apartments will be ideal as I'll be staying for about 20 days and budget is one of my concern. Plus, I'll be travelling alone, so maybe i could do some cooking if possible.

Do any kind soul out there have any clue of some cheap places for recommendation? I'm planning to go to Dr Park for my surgeries. Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated. I wished I have more time to go through the thread finding good acommodation by forumers who had been to korea for surgery, but I don't have the extra time :(

So thanks heaps to anyone out there who had been to korea who will be able suggest to me! :)

flyingmice -

I have met 2 ladies that have done their double eyelids with dr wong & trust me - both complained that after 1 year, their crease was still too high & one of them still felt the 'tightness' in her eyes.

However, after many years (one of them 6+ years, another one 10+ years) & both their eyelids are looking great now! the crease has gone down quite abit & looking much more natural + the crease is still deep!

I have heard from a few others that Dr Wong is reputed to give high creases to his patients & thru the years, the crease goes down & looks more natural.

Whereas for me, unfortunately i didnt know better then & i chose another doctor in singapore for double eyelids, & even though my eyelid swelling subsided in 3 months, it also meant my eyelids drooped/crease disappeared after 1 year.

So in conclusion, have trust in the doc you chosen. he is very well-known for his double eyelids. I am very sure your double eyelids will get better thru time.

HTH! :D

Dear flying mice,

What you posted here can be used as evidence against you by dr wong if he wants to pursue it. Unless you have other specialist to prove that dr wong did a botched job else i would suggest you go to see other doc for their professional opinion then complaint here to add more edvidences.

I saw your picture.

1stly, I am not against you but frankly i think dr wong did a good job and your eyes look "refreshed and if u dun look fake to me. unless u tell others u did a PS job, i guess 90% of ppl who see this pic wont be able to tell you had a PS.

2ndly, I cant see any scare and i think ur eyes have still abit of swelling which is more of your own body healing rate than dr wong's skill.

3rd. Based on 1 pic, hard to tell the so called scars. I really cant see any. maybe u will like to post more pics of ur scars.

4th, i think you, like alot of others, have "unrelaistic" expectation and imagine too much from the PS. Not your fault thou, PS has down time and risk of scarring. You must expect this before going for PS. PS can't create miracles for everyone and even those successful cases, as in korean model below, some of them took time to heal too and many did revision to get what they have today. Most importantly, those pictures are photoshopped to look good.

5th, 6 mths.. well yeah some ppl took 2 months to heal but then their body maybe space rocket while some bodies are just bicycle.

6th, seriously, one negative post out of so many good reviews for dr wong at flowerpod, maybe you can consider as suay (unlucky) but then some people may consider you as paranoid.

Lastly. Relax and Dun look at your eyelid too much as it makes u more depressed, wouldnt suggest u do revision now, just get vitamin E cream to apply on ur eyelid before you sleep to aid healing. You may like to consider to go for excercise regularlly to make healing and improve blood circulation. Make u happier too.

PS: there is nothing you can do now really except to wait for full healing so why not just make your waiting a happier one.

Image :P
Golden Rules of PS:
1)If it aint broken, dun fix it / dun fix what u dun need
2)Perfect individual features usually dun yield perfect face
3)Work on your confidence 1st
