dragon boating this Saturday

Post by thanks_to_ac » Tue, 02 Sep 2008 12:15 am

we'll be taking the dragon boat out for a paddle this Saturday afternoon.. All are welcome to come and give it a try. It's fun in rain or sun and good fitness (something like kayak)

The boat will leave the sandy Kallang shore at 3:30pm so let's aim to gather some time before that (it's a short walk from Kallang MRT)

Let me know if you want more info can PM me Dave.

Hi all!

We had a great turn-out the Saturday before last, and once again we will be taking the dragon boat out for a paddle this Saturday afternoon and welcome anyone who wants to come along for some fun & fitness.

(followed by a few beers)

Boat leaves the sandy Kallang beach at 3pm sharp...

Other details:
What to wear? hmm... something comfortable and you don't mind getting a bit wet.. on that note perhaps also good to bring a change of clothes.

What to bring? a smile, some energy and ... hmm anything else u like.. but don't really need to bring anything in particular (as there'll be paddles, life jackets, and refreshment) oops i forgot to mention SGD$10

of course! all newbies are most welcomed. we're a social bunch of ppl who enjoy dragon boating and have a few beers.. and being most expat have a lot of people come and go.. so new faces always great to see!!

boat leaves 3:30pm sharp from the kallang beach (get out at kallang mrt, cross the road, then along the river via underpass... follow the palm trees and 'sandy' beach til u see dragon boats.. look out for dark green boat and come up and say 'hi').

or alternatively i can meet u at kallang MRT at 3pm

Hey Dave,

Cheers for the PM - I don't have enough posts to PM you back.

Sounds great and I definitely plan on checking it out some weekend. I'm from County Mayo (West of Ireland).

David

Hi Dave,

I was interested in trying dragon boating as well. Is there another paddle planned soon?

Thanks!
