feline.eyes wrote:I will list a few of the Taiwan plastic and cosmetic clinic surgery websites that I have come across in my own research. I have not had surgery or corresponded with all of them, only Dr Ryan Hsu and Dr Jimmy Chuang. I can only speak about my experiences regarding those two Doctors but I hope listing the other websites will help other forumers who would like to do their own research and decide on the final choice. Of course I hope other forumers will share their own experiences too.

-Dr Ryan Hsu
www.ychsu.com

ENT specialist base in Kaohsiung who only does autologous rhinoplasty and only silicone chin implants. Autologous material can be derived from ear, ribcage and nose. He will be able to correct ENT and aesthetic issues. He was an understudy of Dr Dean Toriumi www.deantoriumi.com , who is reputed to be one of the top 5 rhinoplasty surgeons in the world. There are many reviews of him on this forum, including mine.

-Dr Jimmy Chuang
www.wishclinic.com.tw

A surgeon base in Taipei reputed to be one of the best mammoplasty surgeons in Taiwan. He is also widely noted for his blepharoplasty, epicanthoplasty and lateral epicanthoplasty.

-Dr Mike Tseng
www.aphrodite.com.tw

A surgeon that is really popular with the forumers at www.purseblog.com. All the reviews about his rhinoplasties I have read are very positive and the pictures speak for itself. Visit this thread for their reviews http://forum.purseblog.com/health-and-f ... 28183.html

-Dr Kao Chuan Hsiang
http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/face-nose

An ENT specialist reputed to be one of the best rhinoplasty surgeons in Taiwan and he is based in Taipei. He furthered his studies in US at the University of San Diego. He does autologous and artificial (silicone and goretex) implants). He is very well known in Taiwan and is frequently interviewed. He also provides mini face lifts, botox injections, restylane injections, blepharoplasty and chin augmentations.

-Dr Su
http://www.dr-su.com

Reputed to be one of the best Blepharoplasty surgeon in Taiwan but only does primary and does not do any revision work.

-Dr Jong
http://www.lrclinic.com.tw/

Does calf reductions, eyelash and other hair transplants. You can check out the reviews of his patients at http://forum.purseblog.com/health-and-f ... 28183.html

-Dr Tsai
http://www.miniface.com/

Reputed to be one of the best facial bone restructuring surgeons.

-Dr Yang
- http://www.artwood.com.tw/

A doctor I have consulted with online and have read some positive reviews about. Comprehensive website and great results shown. Blepharoplasty focussed surgeon.

-Dr Chang
http://27565488.com

-Dr Liang
http://www.cosmetic-clinic.com.tw/

-Dr Zheng
- http://www.beautycare.com.tw/

-Dr Yang
- http://www.hi-pretty.com/

One of the most well known blepharoplasty surgeons in Taiwan. Plenty of positive reviews from Taiwanese. Know for his non incision Blepharoplasties.

-Dr Chang
- http://www.2youngclinic.com/

The list is obviously not comprehensive. These are just some of the websites that I have come across during my research. Please email the clinics to enquire more about their services as I do not know enough about them. I will only be able to share my experiences about the doctors I have had actual contact. If I have made any mistakes or if you want me to include more information, please message me and I will edit this post. I will keep updating this post with any information I will come across in the future.

Thank you for this and I'd like to know more about Dr Ryan Hsu, well, any surgeon who has been Dr DEAN TORIUMI's understudy. However, I cant read Dr Ryan Hsu's website because it's in Chinese. Can you give me some more infos about him and prices etc. in English please so I can consider of having my facial surgery enhancement with him???????

Thank you

Appletree,
Would it be ok with you if I follow up with you to see how your surgery with Dr. Kao will be and for advices?

Oh do you happen to know which hotel is cheap or nice or conveniently near the hospital? I tried to look them yup. I received prices around 100 USD per night.

Thank you

Not to worry if you do not know anyone in taiwan as the people there are quite friendly. :)

I'm really worried now 'cause they still haven't respond back to my emails. I really need confirmations on what they think of my nose and what they can do. also the time availability.

Last but not least, I'm scared of getting lost in Taiwan and it's frightening thought that I don't know anyone there :o lolz:)

Anyone here interested of going to Taiwan this December around Christmas time?
I'm hoping to go for a rhinoplasty. I just think that it would be nice if we have someone undergo similar things as us, especially in a foreign city.

Please let me know if you are interested.

Cosmetic Abroad - Nose

Post by Goofy Dog » Fri, 12 Sep 2008 11:59 am

Hi there,

I am interested in getting my nose done .. but I wanted a very good DR so we only have to do it once.

Is anyone interested in going with me? I don't care if it is in Singapore, Taiwan or Korea as long as it is a good and reputable DR.

We can share accomodations and help each other:)

hi goofy dog,
I'm in the US right now. When are you thinking of going there? For me, i'm thinking around Christmas time. I just think it's a good idea to know some people, particularly those who are going through the same things as us, since it's a foreign city/country to me/most of us. Please let me know what your plans are. Hopefully, we can organize something that would be helpful to all of us:)

my email is: [email protected]

Hi moonlight_pmdct

I haven't been to Taiwan but I don't think there's much to worry about as I am old enough to take care of myself. The again, I think it would be good to have a partner or frens along the trip compared to none. It sucks to be alone and suffering in a foreign country. I guess almost all taiwanese speaks mandarin which should be fine, and quite a bit of english. I still haven't make up my mind whether to do my chin or not. I want to do eyelid surgery, initially I set my heart on Dr Jimmy Chuang, then again, artwood (but not much info)... I haven't booked my tix, nothing. Basically nothing's been done. Haha, so what do u plan on doing and with who? How long do u intend to stay there?

Hi Wyend and Moonlight,

Yeah I am planning to go around November or mid December 2008 ( I would prefer end of November). I am serious..Please email me..

Should we go to Taiwan or Korea? Have you done your research yet? I cannot speak Mandarin, so I would like a DR who can speak English.

Looking forward to your reply.

Cheers,
Goofy Dog:)

Hi J3nn1,

yup it sucks to suffer alone and it would be nice to have someone on your side in a foreign country:)

I'm hoping to do autologous implants for my nose and chin with Dr. Kao; i'm really tempted to do the double eyelid surgery, but don't think i'm gonna to at this moment  (maybe will change my mind later lolz hihihi). I'm hoping to stay in Taiwan about 10 days.

Thank you
moonlight - if you have corresponded with Dr Kao or check with blog website - he recommends KANGNING Service Apartment (it is just beside the hospital) - tell the staff in the apartment that you are doing surgery with Dr Kao & you get to enjoy a special rate @ NT2200 (its a small suite with 2 single beds + kitchen)

HTH! :D
