dragon boating this Saturday

Post by thanks_to_ac » Tue, 02 Sep 2008 12:32 am

we'll be taking the dragon boat out for a paddle this Saturday afternoon.. All are welcome to come and give it a try. It's fun in rain or sun and good fitness (something like kayak), and also a great way to meet new friends!

The boat will leave the sandy Kallang shore at 3:30pm so let's aim to gather some time before that (it's a short walk from Kallang MRT)

Let me know if you want more info can call or sms me on 8223 2765 (Dave)

It will be much more fun to have a dragon boat race, if only you got 2 boats :D

lol - competitive spirit is always good

dragon boating is very vibrant in Singapore.. there's always race events on that we'll participate it in.

and paddling in the rain is quite fun, the boat fits 21-22ppl so there's plenty space for some new faces

hi as discussed.. meeting at kallang mrt at 3pm - all welcome to join.

What to wear? hmm... something comfortable and you don't mind getting a bit wet.. on that note perhaps also good to bring a change of clothes.

What to bring? a smile, some energy and ... hmm anything else u like.. but don't really need to bring anything in particular (as there'll be paddles, life jackets, and refreshment) oops i forgot to mention SGD$10

+ your teddy bear if he/she is into water sports

This is so close to my house, and after a sober night I won't be hungover :) I think I might just pop along for something different!

Thanks for coming along. Hope everyone had a good time.

The races this weekend are at Bedok Reservoir, so any bus that goes by Bedok Reservoir Road should get you there. (5, 21, 22, 59, 65, 66, 228).

See you next time!

Yeah I had a great time as well! Will definitely come this Saturday to cheer you guys on cause I live like across the road and it'd be fun to see the races!

To get to Bedok Reservoir by MRT you can take the train to Bedok and take 28 or 67 from the bus stop or walk to the interchange and take 18, 66 or 69. It's just a few stops away.

See y'all Saturday and good luck!
Renee
