I appreciate constructive feedback instead of sarcastic criticism. Never expect this kind of comment would be posted to a newbies thread! But it's ok because i respect free speech society to express their own thoughts in their own method...

You're just lucky I didn't feel like deleting the whole thread, sonny. I'll give you some constructive feedback. READ THE ORANGE SIGN. Post your ads in the classifieds or face deletion of your account.

Was that constructive enough?

Not a lot outside of work, pretty much house bound at the moment as you can imagine.

Enjoying the MIL being here (ahem  ) and still coming to terms with having another person around. He's been really good actually, we've only had one night where he's kept us up all night.

But staying in has its advantages, managing to do a bit of reading, catching up with friends on facebook etc.

Missing the social life we had before coming to Singapore. I must admit I spend more time talking to my mates back on my previous expat forum. There's a real strange bucnh on here with a wierd and dare I say it, childish sense of humour. I'm not sure if they are local's pretending to be expats or vice versa, but some are certainly out to have a juvenile mud fight.

I guess, it'll get better as we start to meet some of the good people, and have started to already, then we can less rely on using the forum to chat and more face to face.

Anyway, how are you and the missus?

CM - yes pleased to hear about your good lady wife and your new little bud! Best wishes to Mrs CM.

Apart from propping on this board and trying to get rid of some of the sooth-sayers, life is dreamy.

We attempted to make ravioli on Sunday, alas, it wasn't the best. Every seen ravioli mix come out at the same time as pasta? It isn't pleasant!

Hopefully one of the mods will kill this thread before I have to show photos of Sunday's debacle?

In'shallah, Mr. P

Not a chance... all gory details must be forthcoming.

But, you have to answer the poll.

 well home made ravioli indeed? Way to go.

I stick to making curries, that's my lot. I do try other things ocassionally - but have to follow a recipe from a cookbook. Never goes as planned as there's always one crucial ingredient that you can't get.

I tell you what I have been doing lately is experimenting with the salads.

Have you been to Oomphatico's in Tanglin Mall? they have a really unique menu and great smoothies (plus it's really laid-back, stylish yet comfortable)

The salads there are delicious, and easy to copy. I'm trying to lose some baby weight at the moment (yes fathers get it too, out of sympathy apparently) so I'm finding myself eating salad ewvery night. I could never have done that before learning these new salads.

I need to start getting into sport again, some evening badminton or tennis. I'm never really that conent in life unless I'm doing some regular sport. I've posted a couple of times looking for group to play with but nothing has materialised so far.

Anyway, lets have a laugh at your ravioli!

Yep - the weekend before was our first attempt with fetuccini - worked swimmingly - first go!

As you can see, the ravioli needs a bit of work. Half my problem is that the instructions are in Italian, with only parts translated into English. They also seem to have missed describing what two parts of the ravioli component do!

The picture actually reminds me of a scene from Something about Mary

I hope you unravel the ravioli enigma.
