I am going to get a revision rhino done. I am not happy with my first one. I am set on going to Dr.Kao I have set up an appointment with him already. Kinda nervous about it also I do not want to have another revision done after this. It is not fun nor is it cheap no matter where you go do it, oversea or in the U.S.

Sorry I shd post my photos here instead :)

Dear fellow members, greetings. Angeluv101, your revised nose is a wonderful improvement, it is prominent and refined. If I may, I was wondering if I could have a peek at a frontal shot of your nose at present.

I have been contemplating a Rhinoplasty for some time now, however I am still hesitant to fly within Asia as I feel the quality of the few Asian specialists portfolios I have seen are, in my honest personal opinion, inconsistent to a certain degree. However, I feel drawn to the aesthetics of Dr Kao's work - the pre and post op photographs available on his blog however, are too small to examine in greater detail. Unfortunately, I am unable to read Mandarin, is there someone here who knows how long Dr Kao has been in practice?

Dr Toriumi's work in his portfolio is consistent, however I have read very good and unfortunately, absolutely negative reviews on him in foreign forums and sites such as RateMDs.com and would like to share with fellow forum members, some of you may find this helpful, Dr Toriumi's rating can be found here: http://www.ratemds.com/social/?q=node/28873&did=96677 You may locate ratings for other American doctors if you wish, click Doctor Search and enter his/her details. Ratings on this site just provides potential patients with more available reviews to go over and some insight.

Is anyone here a patient of the renowned Brazilian plastic surgeon Dr Marco Faria-Correa?

Thank you all in advance.

Upper Eyelid Surgery

Post by fushioncherry » Sat, 06 Sep 2008 8:38 pm

Hi, :D

Does anyone here experienced long healing recovering rate on their doubled-eyelid surgery? If you did, how long does it took for yours to look natural enough to face the public (i mean without sunglass)? 8-)

Did mine a month ago, but one eyelid seems to be higher than the other, and the healing process doesn't seem improving much on this eye.

Any comments are greatly appreciated!

Man.. it's this dreaded question again.
1 month is really too short a time to gauge what your end result is gonna look like.. Give it more time
And ya, asymmetry in eyelid crease height is VERY common during the healing stage so relax :D

Hope i'm just not thinking too much too negatively. The recovery rate on my right eye isn't improving, somehow now it looks like ptosis.. which is why i'm so worried. And i feel a tightness, which my left eye don't!

Anyone here hv the same experience as me, please please share with me? :)

Hi fushioncherry, im 10 months post opt. My healing rate is very very slow. Even until now when im deprieve of sleep, my eyelid will tend to swell. It used to be asymmetry for the first the first 2-3 months and eventually balance out my when the swelling goes down in 4 months time and took me 8 months for the tighness feeling to go away.

I have seen many others recover in just weeks time while mine took months. I understand that it must be a torture for you now but u will feel better day to day. Try not to keep looking in the mirror when its still swell. Just put on makeup to cover the swelling and wear a spectacle to cover it. When the swelling is completely down im sure ur crease wont be so high anymore. when ur swell goes down completely, ur eyes will be beautiful.

BTw, I have done both epi and bleh with Dr wong. Due to the epi, i got a scar on my eyes. It was terrible. But the crease are balance now. Im just down on my luck. But overall, i think my eyes look better with the double eyelid except i always have to cover the scar with make up. Anyway just give yourself some time.
