are we talkin abt the same Dr Kao? lolz...

I duno leh.. but he really spend 2hrs with me and was very detailed in explaining. Even show me a video on one patient's surgery process.. quite gross haha..
I saw the taiwan forum wrote very good reviews of him too and there's one saying she had few hrs consultation with him too.
Maybe ur fren's fren nose is not to bad and only needs simple enhancement that's why there is not much for discussion?

I was quoted nt100k too so I guess it is quite standardised price.

Hmm.. I knew Dr Chuang does rib cartilage too but I did not ask him too for the same reason. But I actually thought it is cheaper since he is not ENT.
Dr Kao says he charges is reasonable and in fact low already for the amount of work he has to do - 7hrs surgery ! He even jokes that he is more "cham" than me after surgery. I heard he receives many revision cases of patients like me so it is usually complicated and tiring to perform such surgeries.
Confirm same Dr Kao...that's the email add i corresponded with.
I dont know..this is so wierd.
And my fren A felt that he was abit pushy too....

but from the way u said...i think he's really nice...and 100k for a revision??? he quoted me the same for an 'untouched' nose... :???:

Mayb i will ask him for requote when im nearing to do it. Gotta settle my face 1st. LOL

Dr. Kao is cheaper? Are you sure.. I think Dr. Kao charges about 500 USD more than Dr. Chuang? I'm not too sure

Yes Dr Kao is cheaper when it comes to doing autologous rhinoplasty.

Btw, is this artwood clinic really good in eyes?

I found this clinic before my trip and wanted to seek consultation for lateral canthoplasty while I was there doing my nose but dont think I could handle another surgery together so dropped the idea. Abit regret now haha :?

Is anyone going there for eyes procedures soon?

omg less than 2 months areadi so good. dr kao is better than i expected. however ur 2nd revision nose is quite near to your current one, the 2nd revision one the pickup maye abit high but still ok. what i like is the curve out part from bridge to tip. it make ur nose look more natural than compared to just plain straight line. it makes it harder to tell is real or fake.

anyway i think ur nose is better than dawn's yeo. guess she choose the wrong doc to do her nose. haha.. in fact maybe better than dr hsu's work (personal view - no offence)

however must wait for her nose to finalise before can be compared with dr toriumi's work on the vietnam gal. her nose tip finishing rocks..

I heard he is good but a little costlier.
just my personal view.
i am not sure of his actual skill but i like his website. i still find dr su's sample pics nicer than this doc. however he seem technical like me as i am a engineering student before.

I am liking Dr. Kao too as well so far he replied super fast and was quite detailed when I enquired on revision for my over reduction of the dorsal bridge. His english isn't perfect (could use spellcheck more :D ) but I did get what he meant.

The only thing is that I feel a little bad is that it would probably be some time (at least end of the year) before I can set aside time and money to see him. I wish I could see him ASAP though!

This was what he told me below, it sounds scary to me but the good part was that it was in line with what I've read the best surgeons do (toriumi, denenberg, becker et al). A local ENT who's very good in noses (a friend) recommended the same thing (goretex and ear cartilage with osteonomy), but he was waaaay to expensive (quoted 6-8k w/o OR fees).

I prefer the rib method btw.

Dr Kao:
Yes, you had overreduction of your nasal bridge and uncorrected crooked nose.

When and where did you have the surgery? What were these procedure, bone reduction, osteotomies, septal surgery? Where do you live?

The problem with you is the iatrogenic saddle and twisted nose. I would recommend you choose the open approach to correct the crooked nose, and augment your nasal bridge. You need the osteotomies, bil and rebuild the middel vault of the nasal bridge, use cartilage grafting..

What the material you like to use? We can do the autogenous ear cartilage grafting to increase the height of the nasal bridge and do the tip refinement. If you want to have a big good change of your nose, I would recommend the rib cartilage grafting for your nasal bridge, it will look nature and 3D improvement of your nasal appearance.

Except the cartilages, or you don't want bigh surgey, the GoreTex with ear cartilage can be another method.

The price for the surgical fee plus anesthesia, around 70000NTD for revision with ear cartilage or GoreTex; 110000 NTD for the rib cartilage grafting revision. The surgical depends the surgical procedure, time and kinds of anesthesia,...admission ..

Let me know about the detail of your last surgery or other question.
..

hi tanjhj, for the enlargement surgery, can i request for how large i want my eyes to be? i dun want too large, may seem fake..
yes you can however the doc must be skilled and not over correct or under correct also he need to be skilled to ensure both eye is the same shape not 1 open bigger than another
thanks tanjhj! i'm thinking of going to dr chuang..
