mine like not much sign of shrinking eh.

its white stitches right. i keep thinking its nose wax cause its like a lump there, but its all white.

and adon..dr nara told me its dissolvable stitches. and ask me to keep cleaning it with the saline he gave.

and nurse say no washing face, until face so darn oily. she ask me wash on fourth day. (btw, the day of surgery is not counted as one day)
mine took abt slightly more than a month to fully dissolve. keep cleaning with the solution, will drop out sooner or later :)

hey gals....i had worked with an experienced breast surgeon before (not plastic surgeon, but a surgeon who specialises in breasts), so i really want to ask u to keep in mind that with implants or fillers in ur breasts, these things make breast tumor detection difficult.

in a person w/o implant/filler, it may be already hard to detect in young ladies, as our breats tend to be more fibrous and lumpy. Now, with the presence of these foreign bodies, it becomes even harder.
if u must do anything to ur breast, i think implants are safer, they are in a fixed place, then with modern technologym an experienced breast surgeon can still perform a fairly good check up on your breast with ultrasound+mammogram. also, u can remove the implant as and when u want, if in doubt.

this breast filler thing, altho it can be reabsorped by the body in 2 yrs' time, it is still a hindrance to tumor detection while it is still there.
of course, these fillers are certainly safer than what the beauticians use to inject into some women. i have seen these women's breast mammograms+ ultrasound, the substance, as it is not contained in a sac like an implant, it seeped thr'out the breast tissue, making many blindspots on the films, making it hard to interpret. i think this filler thing may have a similar effect, altho this 'side effect' is not permanent.

so sisters, think twice.... :-|

shal0m wrote:hi everyone...i'm now recovering from nose job at tokai last week, i'll share pix soon...

btw, yah i'll say nara is probably better than pat for skills...not that i am commenting on the outcome now, too early to tell...but when i have my kalo implant replaced at nara's, i looked normal by the 4th day, but this time, since i am doing the tip, dr pat had to take out the implant nara placed so he can work on my tip, then replace the implant, the swelling on my forehead and nose bridge did not go away until at least the 7th day...moreover, the last time i didn't take sinecch and this time i actually took...but then again, the nature of surgery is not entirely the same, so there is a benefit of doubt... :-|

good for $$ wise- nara still win by miles...

anesthesia- the last time at nara's, altho i was awake thr'out, i did not feel any pain, and i walked back to hotel after surgery with no prob. this time at tokai, i was awake (again), and by the time he start stitching me up, the pain was excruciating, altho he added LA (can feel the needles) in order to continue, i still felt the stitching and the thread (every one of it)going thr my skin/flesh...very painful...then after surgery, i was so giddy thr'out the nite, that the nurse has to walk me to the toilet, until the next morning... not sure if i had become weaker or maybe the type of anesthetic drug differs...
Hi shlom,

i had the same painful feeling while i was awake at kalo, can feel the doc cutting my flesh and the stiches too... ](*,) So now i know GA should be better as by the time i wake up, the surgery should be finish.
Anyhow, i hope your nose can recover soon, be extra careful dont let the wound touches water yet.

yunli, my threads are not dissolving too! haha, like you, i thought it was hardened mucus. i tried to get it out using cotton buds then i realised it's a bunch of threads.
did you feel any pain? these past 2 days, i can feel a small short sharp pain down my bridge and sometimes on the right side of my tip. now it's the right side, cos 2 nights ago, i hit the left side of my tip accidentally. there was a short sharp pain but from then onwards, there was no more pain on the left side. previously i'd posted about pain only on the left side. now the pain is on the right side. (what the..?!)
at first, i thought maybe the implant shifted but it still looks centered, and whereas the left side is completely straight down (from the start near the brow to the tip), on the right side, it looks a little more to the right around the tip area. so anyways, i'm just wondering if there's anything wrong. or maybe it's still taking its own sweet time to de-swell.

its not so kuazhang with so many threads la.

but if you have sinus like me, you can bring your own clarityne to eat everyday so you dont have runny nose.

i kept sneezing, but didnt cause much damage.

i also knocked my nose. no pain, just feels a bit strange and i keep thinking it moves, and it looks slightly to one side.

im thinking is it my active imagination or does it really move. really hope it doesnt move. (not supposed to mah) its scary to have a crooked nose.

same problem huh.

but mostly its quite defined already.and nose feels quite soft and normal.

Is doing alar enough to make my nose better? Don't really want to get implant as I fear that it may rupture. Is my tip too short, round and fleshy? If I do alar, will my tip have that 'squeezed' look? Does Dr Nara do computer imaging so I can get an idea of how my nose will look like?

do you mean extrude? the implant cannot rupture since it's a solid piece of silicone, rather than a gel-filled sac like a breast implant. The implant is meant to make our bridge higher, if u have a decent bridge already, u dun need the implant.

your pic doesn't show the bridge so a bit hard to tell. your nose tip is not very big. Nara uses an L-implant which can extend your tip a little to make it smaller and sharper.
