What data do you have to back up that statement of fact?

Why? We already got that foul garbage-mouth idiot on Makansutra Raw. He's got to be the most disgusting food critic that I've ever seen. Yuuuccccckkkkk!

Referring to Cheese Prata Shop at the bottom of Clementi?

Yes, it's 24/7.
Very crowded at 4 AM.
Many are uni students.
Many expats during evening hours, but you're right -- they don't look single.

Try the Western Food at Old Airport Road Hawker Centre. The place has just been renovated and it is pretty much confortable now. Therefore, lots of people have flocked to the stall.

I am sure you guys will like it. :-)

I like laksa, roti prata, murtabak, byriani (apart from the laksa, it's mainly Indian food I like!).

The food that I love in Singapore but always cannot seem to find in other countries is none other than Chicken Rice!! I always miss the fantastic aroma of chicken rice whenever I travel overseas.

Can some budding entrepreneur just start it somewhere else? I have been to a Singapore Chicken Rice Stall in Shanghai. Gosh!! It tasted nothing like the one we had in Singapore. Chiefly, it is because of the rice that the stall-owner used. It is more popular to have the Japanese kind of rice in Shanghai and the Thai rice that we are so used to having in Singapore.

Definitely "sayur lodeh", the Malay/Indonesian vegetable curry - and I'm not even a vegetable person. But Nasi Lemak, Yong Tau Fu, Prata, Roti John, ok just about everything gets an honourable mention.

If you want a burger that's much better than McDs or BK but you don't want to pay $20 for it at Dan Ryan's etc, check out this new stall called "Hotshots" at Lau Pa Sat. Really very good, best I've tasted here and very comparable to the stuff in N. America.
