If the 35% cut goes through, you won't be seeing long queues for walk-ins after that! Just saying on the practical side :P Although i'm sure many people are not flying for money :)
There has been lots of changes in the salary and welfare but the queue is still so long now, I wonder why?

People still want jobs; the situation you quote is the same the world over, deterioration in job quality doesn't always mean in a reduction in applicants.

35% is a lot! Hopefully this is not true, if not the Union will be in for a hard fight. [-o<

I quote from an SIA cabin crew unionist when someone asked this question about meal & n/s allowances "...Is there an adjustment in meal allowances??

I attended SIASU meet the members last Thursday & found the meeting very fruitful. Alan told the audience that he has not signed the CA yet cos he's not comfortable with what management had offer. I was very impressed with Alan's honesty and upfront approach to listen to the members' queries & suggestions. ....for more go to http://bohtong.mywowbb.com/forum59/268.html

xanngac: how's training? still having cramps anot? haha..
Hehe of course no more cramps lah so long already still having cramp I'll be quite cham right. :P

Training's fun! The only drawback is having to wake up really early everyday to do the chignon and make up. Still getting use to that, not very good with the chignon still, sometimes I end up having to redo it at STC hehe.
And so my journey begins... :)

Hahaha I love CNY!! It's mahjong and black jack time! Earned me some money to cover my transport costs to STC hehehe. :P

Basic increase means more contribution to CPF, still ok. But honestly, its the allowance that allows people to get the average $3.5k per month. If they reduce allowance, hope the average pay after everything won't drop... [-o<

I'm learning mahjong already!! Yea, if they raise basic then CPF contribution will be higher, think we will only know the final outcome after they have finalize it

Yingying: Dont worry about the hairstyle as in the end, the groomers are the ones that decide which hairstyle suits you best.

Dont fret on the MOM thingy as you should be able to get the work pass without much problems :D

Pinklittlefigure, you mean the groomers will actually decide which hairstyle for us? Thought girls with long hairs are only limited to the normal bun
