They are only a small unit in Singapore and don't require many staff. However, here's a hint if you are serious about applying to them: gen up on your English and Chinese the test is quite severe as was mentioned before.

Note: Singaporean staff only fly the same route permanently.

You need to find out from them what their future recruiting/staffing policies and requirements will be, you can be sure recruitment will not be very often.

On the up side there is no upper age limit for cabin crew; that practice is illegal in the UK.

For now, mainly London, Sydney and Shanghai.

Yes and like Plavt mentioned, you need to brush up on both English and Mandarin. Reason being you need to be able to converse in fluent english with the Brits, and be able to do any translations for Chinese paxs as well.

Benefits and pay wise, no doubt one of the best amongst the airlines.

Looking at the low turnover rate for BA crew based in Sg, need I say more?

Certain newspapers although I don't remember which one, should be on their website too. About the only time I have known them recruit in Singapore is towards the end of they year around Christmas or a few months earlier with the training commencing in the UK at the beginning of the New Year according to the Gregorian calendar.

Very hard to say, they recruit Singaporeans mainly for their knowledge of language and culture (i.e. Mandarin and of course Chinese culture). The number they require from locals is very small so it depends how many locals retire, leave or get promoted. Just have to wait, time to 'beef-up' your Mandarin and English (written and spoken) as they are the tests that many fail. Try to find someone to help, if you are really serious and have difficulty PM me and perhaps I can give you some advice.
