Absolute legendary band. Every time I hear one of their songs these days it sends shivers down me spine....especially Appetite for Destruction album which rocks!

I remember seeing them about 15yrs ago and was lucky enough to be very close to the front. I'll never forget the experience…..

Are they coming to Singapore, I hear you ask? I doubt it…..

Wasn't the lead singer called Axl Rose or something like that? I thought he was long gone, killed himself, with drugs I believe, but can't really remember, great group though!

Looks like I was wrong, he was alive and kicking last year!

Hey ksl, any one of these (like you, I remember each and every one of them when they were at the top! I saw Hendrix live at woodstock in '69 the year after I got back from the NAM.

Kurt Cobain of Nirvana?

Jim Morrison of the Doors?

Keith Moon of the Who?

Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols?

Rick James?

Brian Jones of the Stones?

George Harrison of the Beatles?

Michael Hutchence of INXS?

Janis Joplin?

Freddie Mercury of Queen?

Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd ?

Jerry Garcia of the Greatful Dead?

Jimi Hendrix?

They were the days' SMS, a time to remember!

I searched the guy out and it was Steve Marriot, from the UK group Small Faces..he always reminded me of Axl Rose, for his looks..and long hair back in the late 60's...I was just reading wikipedia which was quite interesting.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Marriottas

They were good old days'! I had a broken drum stick of Keith Moons of the Who...I went to see them in a rough old place called Morecambe..the place was full of Teddy boy's, Mods & Rockers...I gave it to my son, when he became a who fanatic! They certainly smashed some gear up at those gigs! I still of loads of plastic records in storage too, from those days! I love my old technics record player, cd's can't come even close, to plastic, I even believe they may even make a come back, eventually! old technology reinvented!

Morecambe was developed back in Victorian times, along with Blackpool, seaside resort for the working class...actually worse today, than back in the 60's...because of the Nuc Power Stations....in the area...sad times now, in these areas, people fish at weekends, for social meetings only, the fish have more common sense, than to swim into Morecambe or Blackpool

The list of singers that have passed on is quite an eye opener, along with the cause of death in many cases, quite a few murdered... and a few suicides!

I like November Rain! Because I like both November, my birth month, and I like rain. Knockin' On Heaven's Door is not bad too, the first GNR song I heard.

Does this mean we're all in the same generation? Gosh. Anyone here into Linkin Park and Black Eyed Peas?
