Hi all,

Just to share my experience, I just sign the contract with SIA. i am batch 943 and i will be commencing the 4 months training on the second day of the year 2008.

My contract is 5 years, meaning to say SIA will ave to employee me as their good employee for the next 5 years (provided that i've done nothing wrong). However, my bond is only for 18 months (which is not inclusive of the 4 months training).

So to say, i can leave without paying any liquidated damages to SIA after the 22 months including training period. If i were to breach the contract and leave SIA before that, i will need to pay the maximum of $13,200 to SIA but this amount will be pro-rated.

Hope this clears everything...

Hey Aletheatan,

Actually for my group, the 3 of us who got into the mgmt, we're all 25 or 26. So actually I think they still will consider those 25 if they really think we fit the job. Hope this helps to motivate you! Jiayou! :)

Post by fannie » Sun, 30 Dec 2007 1:27 am

Hi to all,

Can someone pls share with me if the passage that we have to read during 1-1 interview is difficult?
On my last try with SQ 1 year back, i failed on 1-1.. i was so nervous after the interviewer keep shooting me with difficult questions. I couldn't even speak properly and i read the passage very badly. i mispronounced and stumbled alot..

I'm trying again this time.. hope someone can guide me pls..

if you could calm yourself down for the first round, you should be able to do so for the 1-1 mah. no worries. i get nervous damn easily too. but it helped that i treated the 1-1 interviewer as a friend. and who knows, you might get a nice interviewer too!

hmm. you can practice by reading articles in the papers. or better still, read to a friend and ask for comments. that what i do everytime. and its okay to stumble. i stumbled one a word once and repeated it but i still passed the 1-1. just dont get too nervous and things will be okayyy. add oil! :)
