Hi Babe
You have a very strong personality, I'm sure you'll be able to pursue a career in aviation soon. Though I'm not with SQ but am happy to be a part of another Big Family. Some Airlines does consider your other attributes besides your educations, else I'll never be in aviation. Cause, I don't meet most minimum education requirements. Should they insist on O's. CHEERS!! Gambate!

(I wish you to have understand more before you comments)). Before i continue my statements, I also wish to declare that I am NOT going to show off, or to prove "O" level cert equivalent to "ITE" holders. Infact, I still think that ITE Cert, is a step higher then "O"Level cert which depends. :( that I am have to share my story since some strangers has misinterpret me.

As I did NOT mention before, right after my grad from "ITE Nitec" I was offered a place to study in Temasek Poly but I rejected the offer to pusure my first dream as "Motion Graphic Designer" at Jan 2006. Why offered to go TP without going through Higher Nitec* Well, ITE do have various of courses and they were splited into Higher Nitec and Nitec. But somehow they did nt mention/declare "why" that some courses may not need to proceed to Higher Nitec to Poly. "Pls Do Check Out Polys For More Info If You're Interested." Furthermore, I was offered a place at Lasalle, and Uni Art of London in UK to further study. I rejected to UK to pursue my dream, a Degree in art, because of my family issues,(do not wish to declare)) I respect my family which is also why I put my feets down to my second dream to focus on becoming a Flight Attendant. (doesn't mean, I don't appreciate.)) I am as happy to move on.

Thanks for the wings* :D
Hi Maggie,

Just something to share with you....No offense in anyway....or not to demoralize you in anyway....

I have had 2 friends trying for SIA interview...both passes 1st round of interview..before going thru the 2nd interview....all candidates will be asked to show their qualifications, IC etc....My 2 friends were ask to leave...well politely though when they do not have O levels.....They both had private Diploma though...they kept wondering why...as a diploma is definitely better than an O level cert...but the lady just tell them...sorry...but that's our prerequisite......One of my friend cried....she felt so upset just over that O level thinggy....And she was a Silkair gal once....but well...she have got what she want still...She join emirates and is now flying with them.....

You can still try and send your application though...i find that trying is harmless....I wish you luck.......:)

Dear all,

My humble piece of advice, the interviews arent that tough, really. Dun scare yourself with all the information you hearsay somewhere.

In fact, your job is firstly satisfy their basic requirement, to be prepared, have confidence, be friendly, have a clear mind, know what is your ultimate goal and finally present yourself very well.

There is a saying: "Success in life comes not from having the right cards, but from playing the bad ones properly"

All the best!

Yes, Jolene. Thanks for that piece of advice* No offences was made, I truely understand and what brought across your msg was pining to just 1 hope/airline/scenario won't work out right. Is like being stubborn to only stuck to your favourite's, not looking upon others will only delay everything. :) Trying do no harms too! I will heed this advice well and push my luck to other airlines. Meanwhile will carry on to the never says die attitude. Cheers!!

actually they didn't say you can't wear jeans.

but to play safe i suggest you better in formal attire. you wont wanna get marked for wearing the wrong attire right. it happened to a girl before.

so dun give the interviewer an excuse to boot you out yea..
they can use all sort of reasons to disqualify you, you won't want that right.

Just be at your BEST!

Juz dun look too casual will do, otherwise they might think you're not sincere or not being serious about getting the job.
Don't be too anxious, just be yourself and let your inner self shine.

Nope.. I tried on Sept 4th.. My 7th attempt then... keke... I think they only allow you to try once for this write-in recruitment...

28 still can la... i even heard some got in at 30! so no prob yea... as long as it's something you desire to do, juz go for it!! Jia you jia you!!

as for what kind of qualitites they looking for is hard to judge sometimes..
Most importantly juz make them like you... keke..
