Post by Stu » Thu, 20 Sep 2007 8:04 pm

Just wondering........do SIA Cabin Crew get issued company email addresses? How does the Company communicate with them otherwise?

Yeap they do. You are also required to register your active mobile number which has to have auto-roaming. :)

the company issued email address is mainly an internal thing for the company to contact their employees.

mmm are you trying to find out someone's email address or something?

Many thanks. Will see if it works.

Just to answer theknees:

I met an old friend sometime back on a flight. We said "hello" but didn't have time to catch up or exchange contacts.

I thought that there is always a possibility that we could meet again on another flight but who am I kidding?? If the probability of Cabin Crew A working with B again on another flight is remote despite them flying so frequently, then the probability of us meeting again would be slim to none since I only make 1 or 2 trips a month for work........

********************************************************

On another note, I really take my hats off to all you Flight Stewards/ Stewardesses/and those going for training. Kudos to all of you I say.

If after a long flight, I feel knackered/tired and all I have been doing is watching movies and taking naps in between meals and movies, you guys must be totally exhausted....

What really amazes me is how on earth the cabin crew can look as fresh as a rose after a long flight. Maybe we are all more critical on ourselves but there are times when I look into the mirror after a long flight and say: "you look like shit" :)

So what is the secret of looking as if you just came out of the spa?

Hi jencrs,

It does not seem to work. Is there a full stop between the first and family name or is it a case of the system blocking external emails?

I forgot the .sg part.

It's not easy guessing someone's email lah. If the person's name is John Tan, then it's [email protected]. If the name's John Tan Ah Kow, then it's probably [email protected]. If it's Tan Ah Kow, then it could be [email protected] AhKow_Tan@......... so many variations. The person above is correct saying that it's username@........ but how the heck are you going to know what that person's username is? Most likely it's firstname_surname@....... good luck.

And there doesn't seem to be a system blocking external emails. I get a ton of junk and spam all the time.
