its chilly here!

Post by welshlass » Thu, 26 Jul 2007 10:38 pm

am still not used to the freezing aircon here - why do they have the AC so uncomfortably cool?? I have to wrap up all the time, I leave the office shivering, I walk into malls and shops sniffing - hw do the girls in their skimpy shorts survive indoors ? will I ever get climatised to the temp here indoors??

it's a sign of wealth from days gone by!
If you could afford an Ac unit and the power to supply it you were considered wealthy. Dumb or what?
Little do they know, the devastation they inflict on their bodies as their internal climate control continually tries to maintain the ideal temp.

It's easy to spot...you feel tired and start to yawn as your body associates cooling down with sleep. Really apparent after a meal as your blood rushes to your stomach and your extremities really cool down.
Basic biology

Yeah, probably so.

Come come, SMS. You're both wicked and wrong. Surely you know that it's because we are so hot that we sizzle even in skimpy clothes and cold temperatures.

Ppl here are getting crazy with air-corn...t must be comfortable esp in the office! What's the reason to wrap themself in jackets and jumpers (most of the ppl wear extra clothes ar work!!!)....in my office t is 19 C!!!! I'm feeling frozen and not able to tnink and work in this conditions!!!
Normal t is 24-25 C...it's just nice!
Have you noticed ppl's behaviour in a places without air-con...they are getting nervous, repeaiting all the time that its hot...hot...hot...
My advice is just to relax...then you feel comfortable everywhere..

I'm used to the air-con, having worked at some datacenter areas where people think first of the computers heating up if the proper temperature is not maintained. But now, I'm dealing more with people and I find that I still have to wear a jacket in the SG office. It gets bothersome since if I go out for lunch, I'd need to take off the jacket and put it back after I come in. :?
