Hiya Just came to Singapore about a week ago and was wondering if anyone could recommend any good cookery schools/classes. Nothing too much but i would like to learn the basics and also think it would be a good way of getting to know people!!

Hi Michelle,
I was looking at cooking classes earlier - for same reasons. I found some good ones but they dont seem to be regular things
If you type in to msn some come up - there are about four good ones
- if you find any regular ones let me know -would like someone to go with too!

Thai cookery courses at Coriander Leaf, Clarke Quay are good. More demonstration than hands on, but good recipes to follow at home. HAve fun! If you find any more good ones, please let me know

depending on what you wnat to learn... I have a friend of mine who's a "cordon bleu" (a great cook!!)
she also teaches...
amazingly: she use a very limited amount of oil/butter in her cooking and it still is veryyyyyyyy tasty.
if you are interested I can give you her contact number.
