Any one has experience with fat injection into lower eye lid, to correct the lower lid hollowness?

Does the fat survival well, or are there any lumpy concerns?
Hi,

It does work on many these days and certainly rather popular with people who wants to rid the nervous or tired look !!! But from feedback i got, whilst it did smoothen out the area iniitally, the fat graft really reabsorbed (natural bodily reaction) after a few short weeks, especially when the area is small (less fat deposits). I have had it transplanted onto my chin area (vain & curious) but it all disappeared after 3-4 weeks !!!!

Fat grafting is very safe unfortunately it does not stay as long as they should - wish i could transfer all those fats around the waist to those areas I want !!! he he he.... are you prepared to have multiple grafts before it eventually stays ???? Tough

Re: Face-lipo

Post by jeanny » Mon, 02 Jul 2007 11:51 am

Kwell, you've got a point here. I've got chubby cheeks. Same here.. 28 this year and ppl thought I'm still a student. Perhaps should try one botox first and see how. I'll not go so far as to shave my jaw. Would you mind showing your before and after lipo cheeks?

[quote="kwelll"][quote="shoe_girl"]Kwell,

So have had face-lipo done? Did it make a big difference?

Hi Shoe_girl,

Sure, it made VISIBLE difference to the sides of my face - it rid the extra unwanted baby fats that was here to stay !!! until I decided i`ll can top it off later if I really wanted to (hehe), as am a guy, i am tired of people asking me for ID at clubs etc because I dont look my age at all!!! (am 28 but look really 18-20)!!! Compliment maybe? But enouff. Some people even go all out to augment their jaw for a more defined look !!! (abit extreme for me but if i works for you, whynot?)

However, you may need to augment your chin or even cheekbones for a dramatic look - it does make the whole package look more balanced which is the KEY in cosmetic enchancements.

WHAT ??? I dont think its a question of how "high or fake" or whose famous or who went what and when etc.... Cosmetic surgery is all about ENHANCEMENT of the physical aspects of the face or body or both. As said before, it is an ART i.e. it takes a highly aesthetic eye to visualise what s/he expects and can achieve within a framework (what one already has or born with eg. nose shape, eye size, shape etc).

Doctors cannot perform miracles alone, what they can do is make the best of what s/he knows how and do the best they can, subject to surgical techiques and/or experience (most important).

IMO, it would be silly to say to a doctor " I want a nose like this one (photo) or an eye this looks like this " when one has not done enough homework understanding the face as a whole. A slightly smaller nose might fit perfectly fine on one's face and not the other; likewise, a highly projected nose may not be harmonious to your other features like eyes, facial shape etc.

BALANCE is the key word if aesthetics in what you`re after. When you look at yourself in a photo, what is it that is out of PROPORTION to the rest of your face??? Be honest and take it from there. I would like to stress that NO ONE doctor is great at every aspect of facial enhancement. eg. I personally do not find some of the double eye lids attactive enough as opposed to some of the augmented noses - its very subjective. However, it wouldnt be silly to believe that doctors often specialise in one area for obvious logical reason(s) - THINK !

Botox

Dear All,

I would like to highlight that botox is actually made of virus that attack muscle to relax it. Please think twice before you do it.

hey~!

if anybody here is gonna do eyelid surgery in korea ~september.. then please let me know!! i'm planning on going alone in september and I don't know Seoul well so it would be great to have a buddy! Also, i hear that if you bring a buddy to the consultation you're more likely to get a discount!

i'm planning on getting the procedure done at Oz clinic in korea http://drpark.co.kr (click ENGLISH)

im planninng on getting medial epicanthoplasty (just cutting the inner corner of my eyes) and i hear dr park does a great job

it would be great to have a buddy to get around with from the airport-like go to the clinic/hotel together from the airport..it would be much less stressful i think?

Hi kwelll

I had the eyebag thingy done last Nov, Dr says he did not remove fat but repositioned it. My lower left eye is slightly hollow while the right eye is OK. I have very chubby cheeks and so when I smile, the cheeks are pushed upwards and the lower lids skin is quite crepy and wrinkled. So...now while the eye bags are gone, in place there are deeper wrinkles under the eyes! Dr has advised not to remove any fats in my cheek area as he says, it's more aging with a thin face and I will regret it in future.

In his opinion when he saw me with make up, he didn't think it was obvious but if it really bothers me very much; he says that he can harvest the fats from the stomach area and inject it in my lower lids.
He says that each person is different and hard to say how long the fats will survive or be re absorbed until the procedure is done and observed, the fats could stay on site weeks, months or years!
You are right, it will be very frustrating to have to go for multiple grafts! I really wouldn't want to do it every month.
Was is very painful for you, do you know of anyone in Singapore (Dr or patient) that has done this or seen the results specifically for lower lid? I'm most concern about lumps or bumpy looking, is that a possibility with fats or just other synthetic fillers? I'd appreciate any futher info you could share. Thanks.

clutzyshell wrote:I will be doing a nose surgery later on (after I graduate from college in 5 years)

However, I want to get my eyelids done during the winter vacation which is a month for United states students.

Does anyone know of any EXCELLENT and EXPERIENCED new york plastic surgeon in the city?
- I know its important to go to the best and money shouldn't be an option, but if I went to korea for like a week and get the surgery done, it would cost me 4000-5000. I will splurge for my nose surgery, but I have heard that there are good asian, plastic surgeons in nyc that do the eyelid surgeries very well.
any asian doctor in the US will still be worse than those in Korea.. they just dont have nearly as much experience as Korean doctors do.
but, eyelid surgery in US will still cost $2000-3000.

if you do it in Korea, airfare may be ~$800 and the surgery will be ~$1200.... so..the price difference is negligible--plus a little extra $ is worth the peace of mind-in my opinion ^^ surgery is definitely not something one should be frugal with
