wakeboarding, waterskiing - are u up for it?

Post by turtlebuns » Thu, 26 Apr 2007 6:46 am

Hi there,

not only I am interested in learning hindi and making Indian friends, also I would like to find some people who are into wakeboarding or waterskiing. I am beginner, but love it already.

If you are up to it, drop me a mail [email protected]

Cheers

How much is the cost for wakeboarding or water skiing? and where is a nice place for that in Singapore? Dont mention east coast water sports centre, dont feel it's suitable for beginners, and north east of singapore, went once but the water pollution looked serious due to lots of speedboats there in a limited water area. any other good place?

beginners

right, east coast park is a little tough for beginners. I have experienced that myself =)

I am going wakeboarding in punggol, but as you said, water pollution is big and I prefer not to fall (which is almost impossible). I guess that I like the speed and the thrill, so I don t care so much about the water. I just tell myself, that it s practice for better and nicer places to come. :D

yeah, punggol, you reminded me! That's where I went. There used to be a wakeboarding group in this forum but the organizer was injured so later no more update. not quite often but i'd like to have 4 to 5 people (1 boat) to go again sometime.

Err just a touch  was watching them last night ... they are far too good there .... and there are far too many spectators to jeer at you when you get it wrong too !!! :D

Would love to give this a try too ... but somewhere less umm ...... public :D

Sembawang is a good place for beginners as not so many boats during early mornings so not so many wakes to handle from other boats....!! Whatever u do...just dont look down....lots of crap floating everywhere! Another place u can try is Kranji.

wakeboarding in punggol

Post by turtlebuns » Mon, 30 Apr 2007 11:00 pm

if you don t want to have too many people watching you while you are wakeboarding, going on a boat is the better option for sure. boats are passing by the whole time, but nobody will really recognize you =)

I am in for sure if we want to rent a boat sometime. just let me know if you are interested.

cheers

Saturday May 12th

Post by turtlebuns » Wed, 02 May 2007 10:29 pm

Hi again,

anybody free on Saturday next week to go wakeboarding? we could rent a boat for two hours depending on how many people we are. Let me know. Price per boat/per hour is 90 sing dollars (if I remember correctly) including the wakeboard or waterski. The drivers of the boat also do instruction for first comers =)

people interested, send me a mail to [email protected] please

cheers
